why is dry cleaning so shit? si there an alternative

got it makes me mad

I wonder if they err on the side of cautious nailpolish with regard to 'dry clean only'.

If you are feeling brave then try to handwash or go the full hog and machine wash.
What is the stain and what type of fabric is it?
