I can recommend one not to get. The Zanussi jet system. I did loads of research and looked at millions of reviews and came up with that one as the best option about 6 years ago.

Well, what a disappointment. It takes an unbelievably long time to get through a wash cycle - up to 2 1/2 hours. Then you had to remove half the washing load in order to dry. Then it took a ridiculous length of time to dry, and didn't achieve that crease-free effect that a tumble dryer did.

It made the room steamed up. The fluff filter needed changing about once a week, and it was a real messy awkward task.

Finally the dryer function broke and I couldn't honestly feel anything but relief. I bought a separate tumble dryer! I didn't have room either (hence the purchase of a combined one), but it just wasn't worth it in the end. My tumble dryer is now in the cellar.

I think they only do one here it is, dryer is fab, I tend to do 2/3 load of washing then dry it straight after, whole washing/drying cycle takes about 3 hours give or take. Loads of different options though. I even tumble dry my cashmere - there is a woollens cycle which is a delicate 35 minute wash and you can put a drying cycle added which is about 7 minutes or something. It has changed my life!

I can second the recommendation of the Miele. Yes it is dear, but wash for wash it is worth it. The drier is superb, and operates by a sensor which is better than guessing how long something will take to dry. Had mine years. (Before that had had a run of bad luck with several cheap machines.)

Hi there, I noticed these posts are quite old but do you happen to know the actual model number of the Miele washer dryer you recommended and if not can anyone else recommend a good washer dryer that actually dries properly? Thanks so much.
