Any tips for restoring scratched DVD's?

DS2 has recently learned to load the DVD player himself. As such all of the kids DVD's are now scratched and skipping. A wipe with a value babywipe cleans the fingermarks really well, but was wondering if there is any miracle cure for the scratches?

you can buy a cd/dvd repairer in maplins for a tenner and upwards - I got one for df at christmas but am told it works. Keep meaning to get around to buying one for ourselves actually

Might look into that. The DVD's are all £10 each anyway, and if it stops the constant 'mum, TotsTV isn't working'.... ad infinitum it will be well worth it!

I heard T-Cut works, haven't tried it myself though...

Brasso . I read recently that Brasso has had a new lease of life from techy types polishing their CD's and DVD's. I tried it on one of our Wii cd's recently , it wouldn't work in the Wii machine. I polished it up with Brasso and a soft cloth. Hey presto has worked ever since. It cuts through greasy figerprints and flls in minor scratches. HTH
