So tired this morning, although my cold is finally subsiding. I was up until 1.30am knitting an octopus so have only myself to blame.

Today I have to -

-wash dishes
-vacuum downstairs
-dry laundry
-put on a wash load
-ironing
-buy swim nappies for ds
-vacuum inside sofas
-dust and polish in the living room
-declutter surfaces
-clean remotes and phone
-sort out craft projects

  • Get DS1 and 2 out of the front door DONE
  • Change and dress DS3 DONE
  • Have a shower DONE
  • Dry my hair and get dressed DONE
  • Find my church keys (or pop to vicarage and borrow hers blush)
  • Photocopy the fliers
  • If I don't call on the vicar for the keys then ring her
  • Put load of washing on DONE
  • Empty dishwasher DONE (courtesty of the DS's)

Think the fliers/speaking to the vicar can wait until after I've been out.

I need coffee (haven't had one yet ).

The essentials are done.......although I may suddenly get the urge to go and stand in the cold church nowW rather than later.......or maybe not

I would have been ok with a hat to and from pre-sch but would have looked a bit odd indoors for S&S with it on
Of course i still had wet hair, but at least everyone could tell it was clean!

I wish i could wear a badge that said
'I have another DS who i have to get to pre-sch on time so mornings are a stress enough without trying to be a yummy mummy. And he wakes up so early that no, i won't get up half an hour before him just so i can shower and be dressed before he gets up. And no i can't hang around afterwards to make cosy chat because i have to get ds2 home for a nap that i will have to wake him up from to get back to pre-sch on time to get ds1 again!)'
Phew!
OK maybe too long?

pushchair · 20/01/2009 11:02

TTT can you post a pic of the knitted octopus I am fascinated.

TeenyTinyToria · 20/01/2009 11:25

It's on Ravelry, I will see if I can find a link which doesn't link to the site, because only members can see the patterns I think. I'm test knitting it for the designer, it's been great fun. I haven't put eyes on my version yet though, gave up at the final tentacle last night.

Here it is!

-wash dishes -vacuum downstairs done -dry laundry doing -put on a wash load done -ironing -buy swim nappies for ds -vacuum inside sofas done -dust and polish in the living room done -declutter surfaces done -clean remotes and phone -sort out craft projects done -deal with mountain of crap found while decluttering -wrap and post parcel -return ds's library books -freecycle more crap found while decluttering done -buy tickets for a show done

Probably add to it as the day goes on.

I'm in a quandary though, spoke to my Vicar this morning and she hasn't done the form yet. I don't want to rush her (for obivious reasons - ie she's helping me out a LOT doing this), but I'm supposed to be moving next Friday. I can't sign the tenancy agreement/make proper plans for moving until the guarantors refencing checks have been done. And they take 2/3 days to do.

I don't know whether to hope that my speaking to her today will prompt her to get it sorted ASAP and that it will all be sorted in time for me to move next week. Or whether I should "postpone" my mmoving date
