School work
E string mended. Brisk walk

Now to cook cass etc.

Good advice Anne. You are very forceful!

swanriver · 15/01/2009 13:21

Grouchy, I just wanted to add it is wonderful that Ed doesn't want to leave his lego and has such powers of concentration.

grouchyoscar · 15/01/2009 14:01

Swan I realise Ed's behaviour may be down to the suspected Dyspraxia and I'm trying to give that space. But I'm also aware he is intelligent and bloody minded too so it gets a bit at times at Grouchy towers.

Fridge clean
Ironing done
Uniform in emergency TD cycle

Tea and biscuits I think

swanriver · 15/01/2009 14:29

I had a dyspraxia conversation with a teacher this year, because ds1 was so disorganised, bad at writing, clumsy at sport and she looked me in the eye and said 'yes, he was, but now with a bit of firm handling (from an organised person - me the teacher) he is very organised' ha! So then just as you say I sort of tried to push the yes you can do it bit. He isn't good at lego btw...

EHM · 15/01/2009 15:16

TMHdid you manage to get appointment with GP.Are you ok?
tort well done on winning the items on ebay. you must be really pleased? When is your op rescheduled for? DD is really lovely preschool, didn't want to leave on Tuesday when I went to collect her after lunch club at 1230. Thanks for asking.

grouchy{{{{{{{{Hugs}}}}}}}}} after reading your post. I think you need this. Ed will be fine I am sure. sorry can't offer words of advice. Ellie never wants to get ready, always doing something much better.

to Ruby

I think thats everybody from today covered I drove to Watford via the motorway for the 1st time today since passing my test in October. The motorway driving was fine, 1st time since passing too I took the wrong exit & had to back track. Having much nicer day with Ellie.Although she was very unsettled last night & crying/speaking in sleep. I think yesterday was just too much there had also been tears at lunch club yesterday. She doesn't deal with change well & there was a new staff member who was rather firm helping with lunch club. She said to me that Ellie was very slow at eating! Won't bore you with the rest but she is only 2.8 & this was her 5 time at lunch club.

Right off to clear up kitchen after out very late lunch.xxxxxx

Tortoise · 15/01/2009 17:10

EHM Yes i am pleased. Just the one item today. 2nd bed ends Saturday. So fingers crossed! Then DS's will have a bit more space.
Op due to be done on the 28th. We shall see! Not holding out much hope TBH as a friend who works around hospitals says they are so busy they aren't doing many routine ops at the moment.
Glad Ellie love pre-school. And well done with your driving.

Cooking cottage pie for tea so i had better get back to it lol. DD's WIL eat it!

TheMadHouse · 15/01/2009 17:45

EHM Slow eating is good - impatient teacher me thinks

Anne I have the figures from when I was little my mum kept them and the rooms for the house

Tort Bed sounds great

Swan Food sounds great

Oh - boys have been screaming nad I have forgotten the rest.

I had a lovely time swimming with just DS1, he managed to swim without his armbands . He wants to be an olympic swimmer - I have his name down for lessons.

DS2 was good for mum.

We have had a nice late afternoon playing games and doing lego with our lovley homestart lady.

DInner is on and I am waiting for DH to get home.

galen · 15/01/2009 17:54

evening all

sorry brain not really working to do individual replies - have read thread though!

Quite a good afternoon here.

Been to argos to get rucksack for DS1
picked up a couple of those net hanging storage thingies from poundshop as temporary solution to soft toy crisis!

washing sorted and put away

Upstairs home blessing done ( bit late!) -
hoovered
cleaned windows
dusted
wiped dpwn doors ( OMG they were SO filthy!)

swept floors downsatirs

hoovered lounge and stairs

So I now feel that most of the house is basically tidy and clean. I still have further decluttering/organising to do in the bedrooms. And I still haven't touched our en suite shower room or DS1's room (seriously scarey and my project for nest week!)
But I think I'm getting there!

Kids home and fed, dinner tidied ( did dinner earlier today and seemed to go smoother - still trying to find way round that awful time between 5 - 7pm!)

DH home and I'm tryoing to be civil - but still feeling miffed! He is now chasing and tickling and generally winding up the three littlies even though we were all sat calmly having a story before he came in .....oh well!

To do:
wm load and on
finish last few dinner dishes
DW on
Read book ( more than 5 pages tonight with any luck!)
shine sink
bed

scattyspice · 15/01/2009 18:22

Phew, making progress.

Done:
mission
food purchased
games played
ds reading

Still to do
fold and put away clothes
make sandwiches

swanriver · 15/01/2009 18:28

my evening is going downhill. Ds1 is refusing to do his homework because it is his bete noire drawing - a cartoon character with speech bubbles. Cannot make him. Dh is going to come home and grumble about all these annoying ladies in the house, undone homework and the fact that we have to now move table into playroom to fit everyone round.
I hate having people to supper. and I still cant find the BOOK.

Done
put away things in loft
put away laundry
cleared up supper
dd is in her pjs already

Anyway poor dh will do homework in the end...he is more persuasive than me and probably can draw.

swanriver · 15/01/2009 19:07

Dh has returned home, helped with table, and cleared up train track. He has washed his hands of homework. Dcs shouting. Is this the result of Telly? Cross Mummy. But think they are winding down now. ddhassnorkel in bath!

TO DO
Lay table in playroom
chop leeks
get changed

swanriver · 15/01/2009 19:08

I meant cross mummy caused shouting..

galen · 15/01/2009 19:09

swan sympathy. I HATE homework of all kinds LOL Also don't envy you having all those people round for supper - but hope you find the book and have a nice evening in the end.

I have just discovered that DH has found the folder he accused my of losing - it was in the boot of his car. Not a single word of apology - so I'm not hugely happy gggrrrr

Anyway quite a bit sorted. Have enough dinner left over to do another night - yay
Friday tomorrow thank goodness!

Dd1 has a friend coming round for tea from school - house reasonable but need to excavate car tomorrow LOL

DD's 1 and 2 in good mood,
Ds1 normal apprentice teenage self LOL
Ds2 draining me a bit as he wails now if I move more than 2cm away from him....
DD 3 absolutely exhausted from first week of full time school. Was an absolute terror this evening. Kept taking deep breaths and reminding myself how tired she is....but still....
Anyway littlies now in bed ....hopefully asleep... sounds quiet...

So tired and brain so frazzled don't even know what I've got left to do.
May give up and read my book
Will def be having an early night....
See you in the morning!

TheMadHouse · 15/01/2009 19:25

swanriver · 15/01/2009 19:40

Today's mission was stocking up on bathroom things, like shampoo etc and adding to shopping list.

Sounds like you've worked incredibly hard already today Dylsmum. Have a good evening.

wendythepositivethinker · 15/01/2009 20:02

Hello everyone,
Been a busy day again with Wacky Warehouse this morning with DD, home to pick up DS from pre school, routines then Grandmas this afternoon, tea, routines ... now need to pop out to see my Mum and Dad and put some gas on the prepay card.

Have read today's and yesterday's threads - yikes it's busy on here! Too many things to mention to you all, except thanks to Dylsmum for the Ikea link, looks great - is it working? What sort of things do you have in the boxes?
And nice to see you Tort well done on the bed bidding!

Night all flysisters
