OK I give up trying to do it myself - how do I find a god cleaner?!

Anyone got any tips on finding a good, reliable cleaner in South Wales?

The ones I hve heard of do not want any more houses to clean!

Is it best to have 1 person do a few hours at a time or get a company where several people come in at once for less time?

A god cleaner?

i think personal recommendation is the only wsy forward. one person i think best as they build up a loyalty to your family and likely to go that extra mile on the odd occasion you might need it. you could always namechange and ask for any reoommendations on here for where you live? or at school gate?

Richard Dawkins is probably the man to speak to

A god cleaner? Pray maybe?

IwishIwasmoreorganised · 12/01/2009 16:24

Ooops - sorry about the typo

The way I feel about housework atm, a good prayer would probably be my best way forward (if it was answered of course!)

Put advert in newsagent window for religious types?

is he dirty? Sorry, couldn't resist.

I am wondering the same thing - was tempted to try agencies again but they have always been shit before. I have had a couple of excellent people from gumtree but they are normally students so are only available for a few months.

I think the holy grail is a more mature person that has worked for a few local famillies for awhile and want some more hours. How you find these people though is a mystery to me. People who already know them keep them quite or hog all their time.

My friends in Bristol recently started employing cleaners, they have two women who come for an hour and a half every week, apparantly they get astounding amounts done and have been known to ask for extras such as ironing now they are 'on top' of things.

I'd look in local papers etc and start with say a four week trial period and see how it goes.

quiet, sorry
