How can I get rid of the smell of sick? Beware TMI Alert!

Ok, firstly I'm sorry for the yucky posting but I 'd love some good tips for this one.

Ds and I were sick last week and this weekend.
Luckily, having had severe pregnancy sickness before I am a GREAT aim lol.
Not so luckily, ds managed to spew ALL OVER the bathroom.
It was like a sick bomb went off. I have cleaned to the best of my ability, but the smell is lingering. I know that some went between the wall and skirting, whih I did my best to get up, but I'm guessing that some has remained beneath the floor.
I'm hesitant to use air fresheners, and I have tried antibac spray. (I can't use bleach as it's a real wood floor and painted walls)
Any great tips for me, old or new, that I can give a go?

Open the window and keep the door shut.

Burn a scented candle in there (with window shut obviously).

Get a neutralising airfreshener?

No window the handle broke a couple of weeks ago.... argh!

Bicarbonate of Soda gets rid of the smell of vomit.
Just mix it with some water and scrub where you need to.

can you sprinkle soda bicarb on the floor and maybe sweep some into any gaps? (thinks thats what will get rid of smells)

yes bicarb of soda is the only thing that really works ime. sprinkle wherever you can, leave for a couple of hours then hoover it up.

ah thanks guys, I knew it would be something simple like lemon and water/bicarb of soda/lizard eyes.

Carbolic soap is the only thing i find works!

Yep, I did the bicarb of soda thing, put loads down and hoovered it the next day. I've also put a nice lemon smelly gadget in there so it smells yummy!
