Hardcore hard water babes - give me tips!

I live in the hardest water area anywhere ever I'm sure. It sings my face and cracks my hands if I was them too much. Yak.

Was going to install a water softener at the mains inlet but a financial disaster has halted all plans.

However before said disaster we did buy our glass shower enclosure and new bathroom.

So I need tips of cleaning it with hard water. The cubile has been used maybe 20 times and is already getting the white hazy fog on the glass.

Have attacked it with white vinegar. Any tips on this or general hard water advice?

we have really bad hard water

Vinegar as you mentioned but what we do for the shower is we got a small window cleaning rubber thing that window cleaners have (dont know what they are called sorry) from ikea and after we have had a shower we spend 5 seconds squidging off the water from the glass. I know it sounds like a faff and i suppose it is but it means I never have to clean the glass of the shower and it doesn't get white fog on it.

Other than that i'm afraid we have to de-scale our shower heads, and taps pretty often its a pita, so any suggestions welcome as well.

Oh I also got something that looks like a metal scouring pad that sits in the kettle and the limescale furs around that rather than the element.

I know those scouring things. I need one of those around me in the bath!

We have the thing you describe [squidgee?] and still have the fog. Yak!

oh god, well I also bought a special limescale spray but it did bugger all.

lived in a v hard water area (chalk) all my life. The big benefit is it's great for your teeth .

For shower I use Mr muscle shower shine every time, and limescale remover (limelight spray and kitchen scourer) weekly.

For kettle, water filter always.

Will try those. was trying to be green and lean but I wanna shiny shower and hang the cost to me and the environment!

Do the chemicals kill the seals and shiny handles etc?

For the shower I use Scrub Free from Lakeland which really clears it, then I maintain with Clean Shower after every shower. They are the only things I have found that really work. A fiver each from Lakeland.

Ooo will purchase when next in nearest city that has a lakeland [live middle of nowhere in particular].

It's alot of £££ but if it works then it's worth it.
