Ecological housekeepers: what products do you use?

Ecover, E-cloths, Dysons etc... what other products do you use to save your skin and health and protect the environment?

all of the above and also stuff like bicarb of soda, vinegar, lemons etc. There are always recipies for good homemade cleaners on here if you search for them - much nicer than bought stuff

Ecover for everything except washing powder. Newspaper for windows. Citrus oils for leaving a nice smell in the bathroom.

The loo is a problem area, though.

Have tried ecover and loo brush but it's just doesn't do the trick.

Best thing is laundry and dryer balls.

Cuts how much powder you need, drying time cut with dryer balls and added softness.

Ooh I sound like a commercial!

I got my dryer balls from Lakeland, they are a rounded pyramid sort of shape and really seem to work.

I head that tennis balls are cheaper and do the same. Wish I'd known that before!

I think coz they wack the clothes around more they dry more quickly?

Not sure really, but they seem to work ( I did an experiment - saddo emoticon)

Use Borax here too. It's great.

Got a book from National Trust shop which has all stains and all recipes for removing puke smells, crayon stains etc.

I get through a lot of bicarb/baking soda/ white vinegar.

Yes they are to reduce drying time. No idea how, maybe by increasing movement inside the drum.
