Yes-I didn't believe that they could do everything that they say, but they do!

slackrunner · 19/12/2008 19:19

oooh - thanks, it is tempting to get one.

Anyone else?

tis OK, but everything tastes a bit ramoska-ish. it isn't really possible to brown things unless they are very small. lots of things come out slightly stewed.

great if the cooker breaks down, though.

I have never noticed a ramoska taste! It browns things-in fact sometimes you have to cover the food if you don't want it browned! It is great for potatoes. I slice them, mix them with a little olive oil, season and add a little garlic and cook for about 45 minutes. You can also keep them as pototo shape and do the same for roast potatoes. Yorkshire pudding is perfect everytime. Great for casseroles. You can bake cakes, fry eggs. I use it most days.

I'm very tempted to get one of these it's just having to store it. I wish Lakeland would do some money off promotions!

pinkspottywellies · 20/12/2008 09:19

My mum has one and says you can do everything in it - cake, pizza, whole chickens, baked potatoes. Everything.

CharleeInPantoPaperChains · 20/12/2008 09:21

I thought you were talking about those Robot Hoovers........... I shall leave now

piscesmoon · 20/12/2008 13:53

I don't think they ever have money off-they even go for stupid prices on ebay, I have seen the bidding go up beyond the cost of a new one!
Pinkspottywellies mum is right!!

slackrunner · 20/12/2008 14:47

I am tempted, but agree that storage is an issue (not to mention persuading dh )

I just keep it out on a worktop.

SleighGirl · 20/12/2008 16:40

Haven't got much worktop space either I have a decent sized kitchen in floor space unfortunately the previous owners designed the worktop space and cupboards incredibly badly. Not sure how I'll dish up once the 3 youngest have full size dinner plates - they'll be spread all over the kitchen!

piscesmoon · 20/12/2008 17:42

It is a bit of a problem then SleighGirl as it does take up a lot of space. One drawback is that once cooked you have to find somewhere for the lid which is dangerously hot. Mine were teenagers by the time I got it.
