How can I get glue off a sink?

I have a new sink but in patches it has glue (I think) and all round the edges. Like the residue you get when you put selloptape on glass. I have tried brillo pads and it still won't come off. Any ideas? Thankyou

Lakeland do a "sticky stuff remover", I think it's meths based?

I'd try meths first.
