Cos normally, by october, you have a rats chance in hell of it drying, and yet this year I have been able to still get washing dry up until last week (obviously when it is not raining).

I thought I would tempt it today, so.....what do ya all reckon??

Think you are a bit too hopeful tbh.

works for me, i've been getting it about 90% dry here.

About to try my luck too

inscotland · 03/11/2008 09:52

It is pure white here today with frost. I'd not have a hope! My heating is on full blast and the tumble dryer is also on!

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 03/11/2008 09:55

It's windy and mild here today, so if it's like that round your way you may have a chance of drying it.

PsychoGuyFawkesMum · 03/11/2008 09:56

oh......I want it dry (well, as dry as poss), with that fresh outdoors smell it has.

I hate having to dry indoors, and it costs moor as I then have to put my heating on.

I will wait and hope.......and then probably curse later when I go out and it is wetter than it was when I hung it out!

i'm going to

it will dry a bit i am sure, plus it seems quite windy, however it will get damp later. i predict.

nannyL · 03/11/2008 09:57

my washing dries on the line all year

though on the coldest stillest winter days it doesnt dry completley, just nearly completly, so a bit damp, which the night in the airing cuoboard solves

the key is to get it in while its still complete daylight or else it gets damp again so in by 4pm latest

CharleeInChains · 03/11/2008 09:59

Oh god don't say that!

I am struggling like hell with my laundry.

I can't have wet or even damp clothes in the house becuase of ds1's chest so i have been using my tumble dryer alot and my electric bill came back last week it was shocking! I pay amonthyl direct debit of £30 but i owe £280 on top of that!

I have some washing out but the sky doesn't look to friendly out so im pretty screwed at the moment.

SlartyBartFast · 03/11/2008 10:00

mine too is on the line all year. i need to get fingerless gloves on to peg it out.

FiveDollarShake · 03/11/2008 10:00

I put mine out in the morning and as long as it doesnt rain its dryish when I bring it in at 4-5ish. I then finish it off on the radiators or airers.

PsychoGuyFawkesMum · 03/11/2008 10:01

ok, so in by 4pm. .

charlee......that sucks

Pegged first lol out at 8am today, second load went out at 9.15am. The trick is when you know you're going to get a dry day to peg it out early.
