I've always used persil but I'm looking for a cheaper alternative. Can anyone reccommend one that works but that is kind to kids with sensitive skin?

The Lidl non-bio powder is fab.

Also the bio liquid.

MatNanPlus · 27/10/2008 17:42

2nd EPIS Lidl powder and liquid.

PenelopePitstops · 27/10/2008 17:43

tesco and sainsbo have theoir own eco range which is cheap, and kind on skin (tablets)

i think its sainsbo that have their own sensitive range which is also good

memoo · 27/10/2008 17:44

I've been using Surf small & mighty liquid for the past week (it was on half-price offer which tempted me, but it's cheaper than Fairy etc at normal price) and I'm quite impressed.
Also used Marks & Spencer own brand washing powder and found that pretty good too

Ooh, I'll have to try the Lidl one next

expatinscotland · 27/10/2008 17:49

i should i add that i don't wash at 30 degrees.

40 degree minimum and 60 degrees for all bedding and towels.

traceybath · 27/10/2008 17:49

I use the asda basic liquid - its about £1.50 for 2litres and is fab.

Gets rid of all stains and then i just use lenor for nice smell.

frogs · 27/10/2008 17:49

Lidl non-bio here too. Comes in great big boxes and works well.

Eniddo · 27/10/2008 17:50

persil non bio is crap if your dcs really do have sensitve skin

so tbh I would think you could use any old non bio

Ivvvvyygootscaaared444 · 27/10/2008 17:55

in the which giude the top two washing powders where

aireal and asda own brand

they say not to use any type of liquid as its not ggod for your machine

frazzled74 · 30/10/2008 15:09

my kids have sensitive skin and we use aldis own brand, its fab.

MadameCastafiore · 30/10/2008 15:09

We use the Waitrose own brand non bio sensitive one and it is fab.

paranoidmother · 30/10/2008 15:26

I would suggest changing to eco balls yoiu get about 180 washes to the 2 balls, I've managed to get more and it works out cheaper for you, the environment and also sensative skin. It also means you don't need fabric softerner or to carry large boxes of powder etc.

Ladyface · 31/10/2008 21:06

I would recommend asda own brand - just recently switched after using ariel for years. It's about £2 cheaper.

LurkerOfTheUniverse · 31/10/2008 21:31

Asda non-bio, which I'm sure is Fairy, it has the same blue specks in it
