My washing machine has been leaving greasy marks on our clothes for a few months, and sometimes we get violent banging sounds from it too. Am keen not to repeat recent microwave debacle, when we spent more repairing the sodding thing than it cost, and all within 13 months of buying it . Having said that, shame to consign it to knackers yard and an eternity of eco guilt, if it's easily fixed. Cost of repair man visit (if I knew one) is probably about a third of cost of a new machine, and ours is about 7 years old (living on borrowed time?). What's the advice - get new one (possibly with attraction of larger capacity? does this mean you get lots of half loads that then don't rinse properly) - or find someone to take a look at it? Thanks for your advice
