We're paying £90 a month for electric alone and it's still not covering it, is anyone else paying this kind of amount?

We have gas as well which is costing about £100 a quarter. I just don't understand how our electric bill can be so high?

We are paying just over £100 per month for each. We haven't dared put the heating on yet though it is freeeeeeezing in here. We only have an income of just over £10k and then there's £350ish pm DLA. We're about to apply for some grant or other.

we've been buyinh cheap fleeces from EWM and wear them on top of each other! I've lived in cold houses all my life, so don't worry too much, but the los get very moody if they're cold.

Pay £110 per month Direct Debit. We have no gas, everything is electric.

gentleotter
does that mean they will refund you all these £15 you have been paying each week?

(I hope so )

i guess that means taking about £60 off a month (a bit more) and then you actually using a much mire normal amount

snorkle · 07/10/2008 10:29

They definitely ought to - straight away. I'd say it's theft otherwise.

GentleOtter · 07/10/2008 11:39

They have been told to refund it and apologise in writing or I am going to the newspapers to expose what they have done.

Fizzylemonade · 07/10/2008 11:42

GentleOtter glad I could help and yes you should get back all the money you paid through the meter towards the debt.

Glad the rusty old brain can still remember the massive amounts of training (seriously 3 months call centre, letter writing and phone call training, and then I did tracing and debt collection so more training for that)

everyone else have you all turned off everything you don't need? Get those mobile phone charges switched off or unplugged when you aren't using them.
