Morning

Tort sorry I didn't get back to you last night. Dh and I had a sudden (but tbh, much needed) row about life generally We need some time out together, we're both working too hard and feeling under-appreciated.

Grouchy hope you're OK, look after yourself x x

Jas Glad you ahd a good day x

I still dream of baby number 3...can't see it happening though. I am mostly able to be contented with the two I have and know in my heart that I often struggle as it is so wouldn't cope with any more

We had a lovely day yesterday. We did a trall of the charity shops in teh mornning finding bits and pieces for dds Red Indian costume. We made a good start on it yesterday
Then we went blackberrying - an activity I haven't been able to join in on for years due to my anxiety We were out walking for over two hours, it was lovely!
Had a takeaway for supper and watched x-factor with the kids

This morning we were woken early by ds being sick Poor chap has been sick on and off for a few hours now but is finally asleep again.
Dh has gone to work.
Dd and I will carry on with her costume and just see how the day pans out really.

Hope everyone has a good day x

TheMadHouse · 14/09/2008 09:45

Morning all

Bianca Hope DS is OK and well done on the blackberrying front.

We are off to Flamingoland in five minutues. I have just finnished the packing

lucysmam · 14/09/2008 09:50

grouchy lol@ your ass being sore! could it be because you sat on it too long drinking your bottle of wine

Bianca hope your DS is feeling better soon!

There seem to be a lot of people lately with D&V or bugs similar to that!

Mad enjoy your day out, according to my neighbour (who knows everything ) the weather's going to get really hot n sunny!

I'm spending the day generally pottering tidying up the bomb site house & sorting stuff out. It looks like a tornado's hit atm but it always does after we've both been out for the day because we tend to leave stuff where it gets put down so we can get out of the door quicker. Must do something about it really, bad habit to be in!

Morning Giraffes,Bianca,Laura, Bewilder, EHM, Tigger, Greyskull, Ludaloo, Ruby, Cafe, Minor, Lucys, TMH, Shannara,Scatty phew!
I feel a lot better today thank you Giraffes. I think the LO is on the mend because he asked for a snack and 'pud-pud'(pudding)about half and hour after eating his cereal. I'm going to start get one of those mobile snack shacks in the kitchen soon.
Lucys your x-factor friends weren't the very 'romantic' couple who Simon described as 'steamy'?
I have a couple of favourites so far, there is the girl who got knocked out after boot camp few years and came back this time to sang amazingly. I think her name is Alexandra - but not that horrid one from Big Brother.
The other fave is the bloke, Paul? who's wife had died and left him with his little daughter. OMG! He has a lovely voice.
TMH have a good day out, it looks lovely so far.
Bianca well done on the blackberries, it isn't the spiders or nettles that put you off is it? They are certainly the negatives as far as my LO is concerned.
Funnily enough, it must have been fight night last night, because I spent a good hour last night having an argument with my DP. We haven't had a fight like that for a long time. He wasn't saying much when I went to bed, so hopefully he will be OK today.
Jas we have a two bed flat as well, which we will probably have to leave when we have more children. I love it here though, so I will be quite sad to leave.
We would probably rent this flat out to fund another rental property. My ideal would be to buy the flat upstairs and put in a staircase. Do you think they would notice is we did that?
I rented the flat out once before when i was in Greece and the renters thought it would be a good idea to turn off the extractor fan in the bathroom. When I came back there was slime growing out of the tap. [bleuch]
To do
kitchen rescue 5 mins
washing up 10 mins
washing on line done
declutter drawer (postponed due to fight )
bathroom s&s
hotspots
reminders
look at babysteps again
DP is taking the LO to a water play pool thingy - I will watch, don't feel like swimming.
Dinner - mexican - what do you call chilli in tortillas? Is it burritos?

minorbird · 14/09/2008 11:37

Morning everyone

Fell off the FLY planet yesterday, although still did loads (inspired by FLY of course )

We ended up changing over my DD bed from a cot to a real bed, so had to move all of her bedroom around. And had to clean behind wardrobe/drawers etc... Was quite at all the dust and items we found! I ended up with 2 great big sacks of toys for charity though, which is great, I feel lighter already! And DD's room looks lovely and she feels all grown up. (at 3.5 years...)

So today is a quick catch up, washup, hoover, mop, clothes away, still haven't done my hotspots will try today. I must say though, the house is so more manageable now, I do a bit everyday, the bathroom is always spotless! I'm trying to get DH into the habit of wipe and swishing!

Have a happy Sunday folks.

grouchyoscar · 14/09/2008 12:41

Morning All

Backside still painful and I'm feeling very lack of stuffing to say the least

In fact I am now re-instating my lie in as Ed monstered me up this morning [grr]

I have done

Empty WM
Sort for drying
Take down washing that has dried
Sort out the almost dry stuff
Load TD
Load WM
Hang up wet stuff to dry

TO do

Huge basket of ironing
Pack Ed's PE kit
Do lunches for tomorrow

So I am taking it easy today

lucysmam · 14/09/2008 12:48

rowingboat he's a bloke on his own called Danny, not sure if he's been shown or not but was keeping my eyes open for him. The bloke with the little girl whose wife died was good, I liked him Don't really remember any more though. I tend to watch stuff like that whilst playing on t'internet & then forget all about it until the following week. YUK YUK YUK @slime growing out of tap btw!!!

Glad to hear it's not just me and my oh who have a good steaming row everynow n again to blow away the cobwebs! Sometimes it's the only thing that helps!!

minor good luck with the lo in big bed! Mine drives me potty now she's in one as she can get out and into our bedroom

Well I've put stew on low to cook for tea, cleaned bathroom and kitchen. Just waiting for oh to get in from footy so I can blitz upstairs properly because there's just no point with the lo around. She's just unpacked half her wardrobe running away from having nappy changed so her room's now the worst in the house

rowingboat · 14/09/2008 13:24

TheMadHouse · 14/09/2008 19:10

Evening all

we had a FANTASTIC day out. It was much better than I remembered. Loads for the boys to do. Outdoor play parks, rides, indoor softplay and all the aminals too. So it was a fun filled day and thanks to Tesco vouchers only cost £10 instead of £40

Only thing was I have been a real clumsey clutz - managed to spill a red hot tea all over myself and have scalded my belly and lady garden - ouch

I have to:

Iron
Put washer on
Put bous to bed
have bath

rowingboat · 14/09/2008 19:48

TMH Ooo that sounds painful. Can you bear to put some frozen peas on the burnt bit, to keep it cool.
That day out Sounds like a fantastic bargain! Do Tesco do any other vouchers for days out?
We tried to go swimming, the first place was closed because somebody had had an 'accident' in the pool. We then went to another pool and it only had 25 minutes until it closed, so DP had to rush in with the LO. On the plus side, they didn't charge us. They had a great time though.
Had a lovely Mexican meal for dins. Chomp chomp gone that was the LO so his tum must be getting a bit better.

List
To do
kitchen rescue 5 mins done
washing up 10 mins done
washing on line done
washing in again done
declutter drawer (postponed due to fight grin)
bathroom s&s done
hotspots done
reminders done
look at babysteps again done up to day 3 again
DP is taking the LO to a water play pool thingy - I will watch, don't feel like swimming. done
Dinner - mexican - what do you call chilli in tortillas? Is it burritos? done
So happy I've done some flying again.
[waves]

TheMadHouse · 14/09/2008 20:10

RB I keep my club card points and you exchange them for days out vouchers £10 club card = £40 days out. Just look under tesco deals

tigger32 · 14/09/2008 20:14

Evening all, I guess no one is around, but I just poped in so I can find the link easily tomorrow.
Just got back from a great weekend of camping but will have loads to do tomorrow so see you all then

tigger32 · 14/09/2008 20:16

TMH, just read about your burn, poor you not the best of places to be putting ice on whilst out!! for you
Hope it's not too painful

lucysmam · 14/09/2008 20:23

evening everyone!

rowingboat I think he's good yeah, was surprised when he sang last time we all went out together (2 years ago nearly!!!) because I was expecting some awful karaoke.

Mad ouch! hope it's not too sore!

I didn't know about clubcard vouchers! Will be having a look at that tomorrow see if there's anywhere close ish we could take lo at the weekend

I now have a sparkly house, in preparation for 2 kids again tomorrow & rest of week. Although I can't see it staying this way but fingers are for crossing

Hope all had a fab weekend, see you all tomorrow xx

rowingboat · 14/09/2008 22:17

Wah, my declutter has gone all wrong. I emptied out a drawer and there's too much junk in there to sort out. Lots of teeny things. Think I'll have to put most of it back.
Oh well, at least some of the one million year old receipts are going into recycling.

tortoise · 14/09/2008 23:20

I have destroyed my front room!
I emptied the cupboard and photographed over 100 items to be Ebayed. But i don't want to put it all back until all have been sorted ready to list. Going toput all info on photo bucket site. Then i can refer to that instead of getting it all out again!
