Washing problems

I use persil liquid and lenor fabric conditioner but over the last year or so (and its getting worse) the clothes are okay when clean washed but when they have been in the cupboard for a few days they develop a very musty smell. Any suggestions please?

Is your cupboard a little damp ? I had this problem a few years ago. I bought a nifty gadget from ether betterware or kleeneze that contains moisture zapping ball type thingys that take any moist air and stops the clothes from getting a musty smell. Think it was about a fiver but it actually worked ( much to my suprise ). Its very small aswell so great if you don't have a great deal of space

It may be the clothes aren't being washed properly. That could be the machine or the product. I would change the product first and see if that makes a difference.

Problem is my husband has very sensitive skin and last time I changed it he came out in a rash! Also the washing machine is newish top range Bosch and the closthes come out of there okay?

what if you use the persil powder instaed of the liquid?

I could try that, do you think there is a difference?

I was told not to use liquid as it recks the machine and doesn't do much of a job on the clothes either - thus bo smells got masked rather than cleaned - uhg

go to lakeland site and get a product called HG Service Engineer to clean the machine out.

ditch the liquid and the fabric conditioner and use the powder instead.

and check out your cupboard, as funky pointed out, it could have damp in it.

Are the clothes completely dry when you put them away? If not it could be that.
