DD2 wears all of DD1s old clothes.

Jas · 02/09/2008 14:15

Thanks GO. I'll wait and see if anyone else wants to share

DD2 tried to take a t shirt age 3-4 to school for a PE shirt today She is also q skinny, but it has been relegated to teddy bear wear.

I tend to have to get stuff from charity shops if I want cheap girl stuff...I have friends with dds older than mine, but not bigger DS is going the smae way. All the big boys who handed down baby stuff and now the same size or smaller than him!

grouchyoscar · 02/09/2008 14:17

I've

Polished the fridge door
Made a blackberry crumble
Making tea

The paperboy has just put a heap of papier mache through the letterbox. It is beyond tipping it down here now

afternoon

Just popping in to update my list:

~start working on next week's shopping list trying to stick to budget
~write list of where I need to go for what in town
~hoover throughout
~mission - don't have any of those rooms so my own mission for the day is clear the junk off the stairs

Did anyone else spot that I'd left the boring jobs until last!? lol@me.

Oh well, kettle on, oh making cuppa. Suppose I best clear the stairs so I can actually get to them with hoover! Then only 2 boring things left to do

check back later xx

cafebistro · 02/09/2008 15:38

tigger32 · 02/09/2008 16:22

hello again, went to soft play on our own in the end just so i could get away fropm the neighbours kids I'm really fed up of having my 2 plus as many as 6 others from the street . As soon as we got home they were at my door so tried to hide but they just came in!! . am now joining you EV with a bar chocolate (mines a twix though)

Then must really cook dinner
and still got to do ironing

ludaloo · 02/09/2008 16:55

Hi all

I am absolutely fed up with the rain

Kids are all back to school tomorrow, well all apart from DD2.
I'm sad on one hand but quite relieved on the other!

GO I'd be interested in 4-5 year clothes, if Jas doesn't need that size (no worries if you do Jas)

Well I had better go and sort some supper out.

ludaloo · 02/09/2008 16:58

tigger ooooh I have exactly the same problem!!!! Damn annoying!

EV ewwww to the maggots!

TheMadHouse · 02/09/2008 17:03

I am happy to wait and have hand me downs, rehanded down IFKWIM. DS1 is 3.5 and some of his trousers are 2-3 still, DS2 2.1 and is in some 2.3 stuff. So I will let Luda and Jas have first pick and then get from them maybe - if acceptable for all.

We made dora cakes and played trians - no flying.

I am going to do bathing and then dinner with DH when he gets home. I still feel pants though.

I need to do:

Mission
Ironing away
Pack Swimming kits for tomorrow
Arrange hair trims for the boys

Although I have bought DS1s pre school shoes £33 - rip off

OP posts:
Jas · 02/09/2008 17:05

I'll have 3-4 then, please, as ds will need that next, and Luda gets 4-5

No problem with street kids here. I am very mean, and just turf them all out!. My friend (and neighbour) has them all in her house instead

EV

TheMadHouse · 02/09/2008 17:05

Oh and my long lost God father died on Sunday (great uncle - bit of a hermit - he hid when we delivered our wedding invite 14 years ago. Odd couple no kids just dogs). I found out from the boys godparents (dads side), so I am looking for a family notice so I can attend the funeral. They never came to my garndads, dads, cousins, 2 great uncles or aunties in the last 10 years though. Very strange

grouchyoscar · 02/09/2008 17:09

Jas and Luda Mail me at [email protected] and I'll let you know what I have

Spent the afternoon helping a neighbour with learning difficulties access the support she so desparately needs

Jas · 02/09/2008 17:26

Have done GO TMH I will happily pass on stuff to you....do you want a 2-3 winter coat? I found it in my stash, but was recvently given back a bright yellow duffle coat that both dds (and my bfs ds) wore that has lots of memories, and ds loves so won't need the other one.

TheMadHouse · 02/09/2008 17:43

Oh Yes please - DS1 still fits his last years coat, so I had one on my list for DS2.

GO can you e-mail Jas my e-mail address please

OP posts:
Jas · 02/09/2008 17:55

I also have a green girls coat in 7-8 yrs if anyone could use it...

ludaloo · 02/09/2008 18:14

Hi,

Thanks Jas

GO I have just emailed you

BiancaCastafiore · 02/09/2008 18:22

Evening

What a brilliant load of clothes swopping going on here today I love hand-me-downs

We have had a nice easy last day of the holidays and are just winding down ready for an early-ish bedtime.
I bought dd a CD player for her bedroom today (bright pink!) and she's been up there listening to stories for ages this afternoon

Very tired, dh working late every day this week and working almost every weekend in Sept since being let down by a guy who was supposed to be working with him

I have abandoned housework since the weekend to enjoy these couple of days but will get back on track as from tomorrow (I hope...)

I have to come up with a fancy dress outfit for dd with the theme "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly"....any ideas? We are currently thinking about her maybe becoming a native American Indian (going with teh Western theme) but I'm not 100% sure. We have 3 weeks to get something sorted but are very keen to win after last years success as a fairy

bythepowerofgreyskull · 02/09/2008 18:28

evening all

sounds like there is an active swapping network within the fly community
just deciding not to have more babies so in the next few weeks will have loads of things on their way to ebay if anyone needs anything before we logg it

have done very little again today
will have more time to do stuff tomorrow morning.

lucysmam · 02/09/2008 19:29

evening all!! how are you?

grouchy pmsl at duvetdwellers!!!!
EV maggotts yuk yuk yuk yuk!! I would have had more than a crunchie n oh would have been in big trouble
greyskull if you're getting rid of a girls coat age 2-3 I could make use of it. Let me know when you are sorting out if you don't mind

well, its date night 0 - ps2 -1!!!
we had a lovely tea at the table WITH music not tv. And then oh retired to the sofa to play on the playstation for 'an hour' which is never really an hour but more like all night. oh well, pots, shower and potter it is . . . .
see you all tomorrow xx

grouchyoscar · 02/09/2008 19:51

Mailed you Jas and Luda

Winding down now. ED fed and watered, lunches done, kitchen tidied and S&Sd Ed bathed and cream rubbed into the huge graze on his back

Tommorrow I have to take the cat to the vet then sort out Ed's old clobber for passing on

In bed now waiting for the gift of vision

Night All

TheMadHouse · 02/09/2008 21:19

Evening All

I am feeling a little better after a nice bath and an even nice DH. I think that we are all a little under the weather. DS1 has "Poo Juice" - his words and I am always a bit that way and never think any thing of it. Well DH is the same.

We have done a general tidy, had a lovley family dinner. He gets in at 5.50 so we have used the summer to push back the boys dinner till 6pm, so we can all eat at the table together. It is working well - Lunch at noon, snack at 3.30 ish and then dinner at 6pm, bed at 7-7.30.

I have always wanted to have family meals as it was the best time in our house as a family. SO both the boys have trip traps and always have. They have been and are a great investment for us.

EV Maggots no way - above and beyond IMO

I to am getting shut of stuff on e-bay, so will let people know before I list. I passed on 2 black sacks 18 month stuff to my friend whos LO is a tiddler.
