Whole bottle of vinegar, leave overnight.

The next night, put down a whole bottle of coke and leave overnight.

Repeat with vinegar and coke again if needed.

Works a treat

Megglevache · 24/08/2008 20:36

Really coke and vinegar?

SlartyBartFast · 24/08/2008 20:37

steer clear of bicarbonate of soda mixed in though,
it will EXplode!

zog · 24/08/2008 20:41

Absolutely! Not together though.

Does rather make you wonder what Coke does to your insides

lovelysongbird · 24/08/2008 20:52

hi, thanks, can i use cheap coke? do i really need to use a whole bottle?

OP posts:
zog · 24/08/2008 20:54

southeastastra · 24/08/2008 20:59

SheSellsSeashellsByTheSeashore · 24/08/2008 20:59

i used that domestos 100% limescale remover. leave over night and scrub with a loo brush the next day.

ChairmanMiao · 24/08/2008 21:02

Harpic blue in a bottle.

lou33 · 24/08/2008 21:05

spirit of salts

star1976 · 24/08/2008 21:05

Toilet Duck with 100 limescale remover is great too.

When we moved into our house I tried all sorts to clean the upstairs toilet which wasn't 'dirty' a such but stained with discgusting coloured limescale at the bottom.

Nothing worked till I tried that, I swear by it now and even use it on the area around my taps on the sink if they become a bit scummy with limescale.

southeastastra · 24/08/2008 21:05

get the loo brush and force the water out then it will be more effective

lucysmam · 24/08/2008 21:18

domestos 100% worked a treat on my manky brown with years old limescale from previous tennant loo. leave as long as possible, i didn't even scrub with loo brush and it disappeared! was about £1.99 though which is a bit expensive imo

Beauregard · 24/08/2008 21:19

Coke overnight and a pumice stone

lovelysongbird · 24/08/2008 21:22

PFNM will that work on feet, too?

Beauregard · 24/08/2008 21:24

yeah should do lol

Anna8888 · 24/08/2008 21:25

Another vote for Domestos 100% - the bright pink stuff in a black bottle.
