Anyone used those vacuum bags which are meant to reduce all your clothing to the size of a peanut?

Am I the only one who appears to have overstuffed the bag? It hasn't burst or anything, it just hasn't reduced very much. Looks like I'll have to buy about 20 of them to cope with the amount of clothing our DS had!

I've got the ones that you 'roll' the air out of.

The photo blurb shows someone smiling and rolling the bag up (full of thick fluffy jumpers) and the air whooshing effortlessly out the other end. In reality you need to be fit to do this. Even starting the rolling up takes two people. Then you have to stop it unrolling by putting your knee on it while you catch your breath ready to attempt to roll again. After half an hour you do indeed have a nice flat parcel.

I flung mine up to the top of the airing cupboard. I neither know nor care if the bags are re-inflating. I'm not doing it again that's for sure

I got a rolly up one as well and had my 20 mo in fits of laughter trying to roll the whole of myself across it in an attempt to get the air out!

I bought cheap ones from Poundstretcher (or somewhere like that) and they were ok . I used them mainly for outgrown childrens clothes though.

I bought some pricey ones from Tesco, which reinflated, so I took them back. But last week I bought 2 more from the pound shop and these seem much better. And yes, they were only a pound
