Does anyone actually use their smart appliances' features?

Do you use the smart features on your home appliances?

Like controlling your washer from your phone or getting notifications when a cycle is done.

Do these features genuinely make life easier, or are they just nice to have?
I'm hesitating whether I should buy one applied or not...

Oh yes, smart tech for our electric blanket, bliss - ours us on a routine to come on each night!

Definitely. Washing machine and tumble dryer less so but I do love controlling the heating, the robot hoover and our garden lights. When it’s time our Christmas lights including the tree will come on either on a routine or a shout of ‘ Alexa merry Christmas’. Likewise the switch off is a routine or ‘Alexa bah humbug!’

I run my dishwasher, washing machine and robot vacuum from my bed after 9pm.

I actively try and avoid buying any appliances with these features. My dishwasher unfortunately has the ability to connect to phone but I had other reasons for wanting this particular dishwasher so had to compromise. I haven't downloaded the app though.
Was just looking for a new tumble drier and have discounted on brand due to having this feature.
If I had an option, I would still be buying everything with knobs and buttons - there is less to go wrong.
