I know.

I just about go throught eh babysteps last time, but lapsed soon after, and regret it big time.

It is an effective program, as long as you stick at it.

My problem is that I work 3 full and 2 half days, so I don't have time to do all the missions. I did find a compromise, where I chose the most appropriate 2 missions a week, to do on my afternoons off. But at the end of the day I lost control. I am determined not to do that this time.

Shall we hold each others hands?

Notquitegrownup · 27/06/2008 17:07

Yes please! I can see that I could easily lapse - I'm definitely a starter, rather than a finisher! However, I think being able to chat about it here will be a big help.

EustaciaVye · 27/06/2008 17:11

Hi everyone,

Have had day to myself! Lots of shopping

Ruby - I got rid of all of the fish Couldnt bear lice and also find that another had white spot

Anyway, house a mess. Have a nice weekend everyone.

Notquitegrownup · 27/06/2008 17:48

Slightlymadlysweet - I can see that working nearly full time must be a problem - though getting a routine going must be all the more important. (Perhaps you could swap in an alternative mission with something on it that you really need to get done instead, if you are short of time. Or is it heresy to suggest that?!)

I work 3 days/week, so will have a bit more time than you. It must be really annoying if everyone posts a big list of things they have got done, when you have had no time at all! But then by the look of Eustacia's last post, you aren't expected to achieve miracles every day.

whispywhisp · 27/06/2008 17:58

Hi everyone

Well my day has sprinted past me. Sports Day went ahead. Oh what absolute fun and excitement that was.....

Rained on and off throughout all the events. Afterwards did a mad dash to Sainsburys and whilst at the till I noticed DD2, who is 4yo, was busy sat down munching on a Gingerbread man...all well and good but I hadn't bought any! She'd helped herself to some on display...I told the woman on the till and she said not to worry but how embarrassed was I?!

DD2 is really REALLY being quite difficult at the moment. She took it upon herself this morning to wash all her furniture in her room with a loo roll and cup of water including her bed and bedding. She then came downstairs in a different pair of socks - I asked her why she'd changed them - she told me cos her feet were too hot in the other pair - needless to say she changed them cos they were soaked thru.

babyjjbaby · 27/06/2008 18:15

notquitegrownup the biggest problem I have is the bigish routine clean on a Monday, so I divided it up something like

Mon - quickies in teh kitchen (microwave, DW filter, 2 min hotspot)
Tues - quickies in teh lounge (dust TV, coffee table, mirror, 2 min hotspot)
Weds - quickies upstairs (whatever needs doing, 2 min hotspot)
Thurs - sweep/mop floors

Thurs & Fri I then did 1 mission each day - chosen from the weeks list - so I didn't necessarily do Thurs on Thurs and Fri on Friday. So I chose the most in need etc.

DP usually does teh hoovering and washing, so I don't have to worry about that.

Anyway I am trying to ease back in to hte gossip - I am not being rude, it's just that EV saying "Couldnt bear lice and also find that another had white spot" doesn't make much sense without referring back to teh whole weeks worth of threads [sorry].

I think that was the gist of it, I am sure it will come back to me.

tortoise · 27/06/2008 18:50

Hello SMS.Good to see you back. I have been here since the start of FLY threads and am still useless!

Bedroom is nearly clear. Put my bed on freecycle. Need it gone A.S.A.P.
School summer fayre tomorrow so i probably won't get much painting done.DS2 expects it done quickly! He doesn't realise how much work is involved.

Futon is as a bed ready for tonight and DD's are in the bath.
DD1 enjoyed the trip to Lyme Regis today. They had some light showers but played on the beach most of the day.

dylsmum1998 · 27/06/2008 18:58

evening all
have done nothing all day!! and feel so relaxed for it. i have a shiny new hairstyle which i am loving. dd has a fringe now and looks so sweet.
have just finished dinner and the kitchen a tip.

i cant remeber all the thread sorry if i miss something.
hello to newbies
sorry if it has been answered but s&S bathroom stands for "swish and swipe" unfortunately not kinky ( well not in my book, each to their own )i just get get my bottle of spray cleaner and a clean cloth and wipe over the mirror bath sink etc.

i dont stick religiously to the routine/missions am doing well at the moment as i have the summer off. end of sept i will slip drastically. so am hoping to organise everything befor then. so am manaing mostly to get things done.
just put on your routine as much as you can manage, if you are like me as little as poss cos i love the feeling of completing my list and adding a couple of extra dones at the bottom.

babbyjjbaby bike ride sounds a bit scary today, hoep all was ok and not to traumatised

must go and sort the kitchen and bath dc will be back later

TheMadHouse · 27/06/2008 21:31

HELLO ALL - Did you miss me, as I missed you.

We had a fab time, got back an hour ago and the boys are tucked up in bed, the washer is on and the bags are unpacked

We did so much and loved it all:

We went up Snowdon on the Llanberis mountain railway
Canafon Castle
Conwie castle
Slate museaum
Llandudno

It was great - we only had one day of rain. The accomodation was basic, but clean (we stayed in classic and it only cost me £40), but we didnt get to use any of the facilities on site, as we were knackered by the end of the day. But I would really recomend it.

Anyway hugs and kicks up the backside to all that need it and I will catch up better over the next few days.

Oh yes - I am feeling healthier. Tooth hole is finally healing, cold sores have gone, DS1 spots have nearly all gone and DS2 seems to have avoided the pox - famous last words.

I have to get some iron, folate and B12 stuff from GO next week in the hope we can get my iron level up for op on 21 July (ovaries and tubes).

Baby Ls funeral will be Friday next week we think, cause of death has not yet been confirmed

Later Fly ladies

tortoise · 27/06/2008 21:36

Welcome back TMH. Glad you had a good time and are feeling healthier.

dylsmum1998 · 27/06/2008 21:39

welcome back tmh am so glad you had a good time

i sold an item on ebay, rather a large one and it went for only £5 i had hoped for more but never mind didnt happen. i put the postage costs as £12 due to item size the person who won the bid has only sent the £5 for the item through paypal- no postage
has anyone had this happen before- did i do something wrong? the item description clearly says postage is £12- have checked

OP posts:
dylsmum1998 · 27/06/2008 21:42

ah just checked the adress of buyer- perhaps she's planning on collecting from me, also in kent- but surely protocol is to check its accceptable for me that she comes to my home?? i dont like strangers arriving makes me very uncomfortable

OP posts:
tortoise · 27/06/2008 21:44

Dyls I would expect to be asked if pick up is ok. My stuff ends in 6 mins. So far total made is £30. Loads of watchers on one item so am hoping for more last minute bids.

dylsmum1998 · 27/06/2008 21:49

i expected that, i just checked i have an email from her saying should would like to come pick it up and has therefore only paid the £5. she wants to come in the week during the day preferably can i let her know dates and times in beginning of july. i wouldnt have minded so much had she emailed me prior to bidding, i just feel this is a very rude way to do this. am so tempted to email back i am going on holiday in morning for a month will be back august- i know this is petty and havent done it, i've not yet responded at all, but is soo tmepting
