Worth paying for a professional organiser for the children's bedrooms?

I wonder if I could have some thoughts on paying for a professional declutter and organiser. It's £40 per hour and I was thinking of paying for a full day so 6 hours.

I'm a former hoarder so my house is a mess but this service is just for my kids 2 bedroom. I do get stuck on making desisions. However I'm now wondering if for that money I could throw out lots of things myself on the rational that I could replace most of the kids causal clothes on Vinted for £6 a item.easily?

Or should I just go for it in the knowledge I haven't used this logic before and it's not occurred to me until I'm at the stage where im considering paying out for a professional organiser? I want a freh start for the kids for the new term

Professionals usually work better as they have a good idea things, good ideas for organisation and systems and they WANT TO and are motivated to do it, unlike you. I think it would be worth the cash, sometimes you get stuck in a rut and need a fresh pair of eyes to set you off on the right path. Then hopefully you keep it like that.
If you were able to do it yourself surely you’d have done it by now?

I am a professional declutterer, and I wanted to say that no professional should judge you. There are many many reasons for us to be needed, and it's more common than you think. We all have things we do well and things we don't... It's no different than getting in say a professional carpet cleaner or oven cleaner in etc. Anyway... If you're not sure what you need you can always contact a declutterer and have a chat with them. I'm always happy to figure it out with clients if they need a declutterer or not. (and we aren't all as expensive as you think)

I have reached putvand been quoted £45 per hour. Now I'm wondering if that's too much money for something I should just get on with

But you can't just get on with it. And there's no shame in admitting that.

If you have the money, it's not too much to spend on the peace of mind and functioning home it will give you. 💐

With the children take all the clothes outside to sort them while the weather is still dry.

Anything that is too small - out it goes
Anything they don't like - out it goes
Set a number of shirts, trousers, underwear per child and slim to that.

Then similarly with books and toys. Outgrown or broken, out it goes. One special box each for keepsakes.

That is why I started my own business, that price is insane. In my area prices start even higher than that. Anyway, as others have said it depends if you are able and willing to spend the time doing it or if you need that bit of extra motivation and guidance.

It isn’t too much money because you don’t get on with it - you need the help . The prevarication is evidence !

it’s hopefully a one off cost to help get your life better sorted and help you move forward

I have made a start myself with my boys. So far there's a massive pile ds wants to get rid of that I haven't gone through yet. But eldest has confirmed the first 13 things he has looked at can go. So if we do ten things a day minimum between us to go we should get quite a bit cleared out. Not as fast as the declutter but if it's not sorted by the end of the month I will call her in. The problem is getting the kids engaged enough. My eldest is back from.uni but I think he is going to be happy to let most of his pre uni clothes go. So starting with the eldest two

You don’t need to double check ds stuff and you set a deadline for the eldest / give them both bun bags and let them crack on
