I know it’s quite hard to make the stain out but it really is very noticeable

we have a practically white carpet - it’s super pale. A rum and coke was dropped on it a few weeks ago. I used my Vax spot wash with the specific detergent and went over it. Got it all up - looked to have worked

once properly dried after a couple of days I noticed the stain was back. A bit fainter but still very apparent. Just a brown patch

went over it again, changed the detergent. Again, it looked to have lifted but once thoroughly dry, the stain is still there.

it’s a patch of brown and super noticeable against the pale carpet.

anything else I can try? Like I said, it’s ‘just’ a rum and coke and I’m not sure why I can’t get it up - most other stains the spot wash is brilliant on

any advice appreciated

Oh and a pic. I know it doesn’t look that bad but trust me, it is. You can really see it

Cheap shaving foam. Rub it in gently then leave to dry and then go over again with your spot wash. It helped get red nail varnish out of my daughters white rug!!

The M&S carpet cleaner does wonders on my cream carpet - got up several dried in coffee and make up stains brilliantly! Give it a try

Great thank you. I’ll try both of those suggestions

Have you tried carpet cleaners? The ones you get from supermarkets DIY stores? That’s what I use and sometimes one after the other.

Clay, dry clay leave on for it to absorb then hoover after 12hours.

sommelier clay is the best for this
