can I put NIKE AIRMAX trainers in the washing machine?

dd1 borrowed them off her mate and they are disgustingly filthy. don't want to give them back grimy, but don't want to give them back knackered either.

you can but they will smell like fish in my experience, anyway.

And as for getting rid of grime, can clean with cloth dipped in water/washing up liquid or washing fluid and rinse fof.

the air bubble will fill with water, put the insoles and laces in the wash and clean the trainers with the shower head and and an old toothbrush and shower gel. sounds mad but my dp swears by it and he is obsessed with nike trainers.

If they can't go in the washing machine, dd2 will have to clean them herself. She dirtied them, she can clean them.
