Best way to clean wooden (engineered)

Our flooring is engineered wood flooring and the gaps now look dirty no matter what I do. I got in a professional cleaner but when he saw it, he said he couldn’t work on it without ruining it.

Any tips on cleaning the gaps so they don’t look dark and dirty without them coming off, etc?

Are these dirty gaps in the picture? As I’m afraid I’m not seeing the problem!

Thanks @stickydough they look like a much darker colour and therefore appear dirty ( to me anyway).

Or is that just how it’s supposed to look?

I suppose if it bothers you it does, but yes I’d say gaps in any floorboards will always be darker than the panels, whether real wood or engineered. Obviously if bits of fluff or debris get stuck between panels they can be cleaned but isn’t it just natural it will be a bit darker?

Yeah, I'm not seeing dirt either but if it bothers you, it's a hands n knees job with something like a detailing brush and wet wipes.

Thank you both. It does make me feel better to know that it’s what it’s supposed to look look like. I grew up with tiled floors so I‘m not used to wood ones.

I tried the scrubbing on the knees once but there no difference but will give it another go, maybe with a harder brush but will of course be careful
not to to let too much water into the gap.

Thanks again

Hasn’t it looked like that since it was fitted? I’ve never seen an engineered floor of that design look any different. The one I chose is fitted flush so we have no gaps, but I think yours is meant to look like floorboards so you have a bevelled edge which will always look darker than the floor surface.

Mine is like this and it looked like this as soon as it was laid. I think the dark stripes are just shadows!
