Can I rescue my carpets?

I got new beige carpets 3 years ago and intially they looked amazing & you could see the Hoover lines in them which I loved 😅

Anyway, a combination of a chronic injury, pregnancy & baby means I feel like I’ve neglected my carpets a bit and they aren’t looking amazing anymore. I can’t get the lines in them now as they’ve all been trodden down which I suppose is to be expected but I’ve got into the habit of just running the Hoover round and not really getting into the edges / under the furniture.

I’ve noticed that some parts are looking more grey now which I’m guessing is a build up of dust - I’ve tried to get the Hoover on it but it’s not made any difference.

Does anyone have any advice on of there is anything I can do?

I personally don’t understand the love of hoover line but each to their own.

Sounds like they just need cleaning.

I would get a carpet cleaning company in to professionally clean them - it should bring up the pile a bit, but carpets do flatten over time and you may not get the “hoover lines” the same way you used to any more.

I’d suggest you buy a robot vac that will clean everyday and pull more muck out than you will with your hoover. You can then spend your cleaning time on skirtings and corners and under the furniture it can’t reach. Happy to recommend Eufy. I have one upstairs and one downstairs.

A carpet cleaner will help lift the pile and draw out ingrained dirt. I have a vac cleaner which is fantastic, I give the carpets a good clean every few months which improves the look and feel massively.

beige carpet with a baby is brave i salute you! that grey shading is usually just fine dust trapped deep in the fibres i switched to the idustmite hepa vac because my old one was just tickling the dirt honestly. brought the pile right back to life and the satisfying lines are bac

I have a shark carpet washer that looks like an upright vacuum cleaner and is really easy to use (unlike the Henry carpet washer which was awkward). I find it brings the like up really well when you use it in suck setting
