ok boring Q but I really want to know, what way do you clean the kitchen floor? I am loathe to get down on hands & knees (pregnant), but those mops always make my floor really wet!

littleboyblue · 13/06/2008 16:36

actually i wish i'd got down on my hands and knees more when i was preggers - maybe then i wouldn't have had a blardy posterior baby

next baby the kitchen floor is going to be a-sparkling...

WenchConnection · 13/06/2008 16:41

No no no crappy flash mop that sucks you into spending a fortune on their wipes.

No no no

Rant over

Try the lakeland microfibre mop, for me it was lifechanging

Love2bake · 13/06/2008 16:44

I have a great mop that I bought at the Ideal Home Exhibition. It's micro-fibre, and I just use that dettox stuff that you spray on the floor and then mop over.

hana love the dh suggestion! I don't think my dh sees dirt though

Think I'll have a look for a micro-fibre mop

Agree with WC - those mops with the wipes are a total pain. They are always coming off.....arrrggghhh!

onepieceoflollipop · 13/06/2008 16:48

Depends on the size of the kitchen. Occasionally I get down with hot water and cloth and it looks lovely. (medium sized kitchen). Most of the time I use a sponge type mop and it is a bit messier but loads quicker. (however it is rubbish round the edges)

Love2bake · 13/06/2008 17:15

Have just seen a really cool steam mop on Amazon. I want one of those now!!

lol then fall asleep on the sof while he mops the floor

maidamess · 13/06/2008 19:24

I push those wipes around with my Vileda squeezey mop. It works fine.

ScienceTeacher · 13/06/2008 19:32

I use a Flash Power Mop

whatdayisit · 13/06/2008 19:34

Hands and kness is the only way to do it properly imo. In any case, lot of time on your knees is supposed to make the baby turn and avoid a breech birth.

onepieceoflollipop · 13/06/2008 19:49

whatdayisit I had a breech baby and no amount of floor scrubbing turned her. The consultant had to do an ecv!

I scrubbed 2 bathroom floors and a kitchen floor and still no luck
