What is this tube on my fridge freezer for?

Just bought a new fridge freezer and on unpacking it, one of the tubes on the back is quite bent (see bottom left of both photos - not sure how quickly they'll upload though). I know nothing about fridges and was too cheap to pay for installation which I feel mostly vindicated in because most of the installation has been super easy - but just not sure if this tube is important, and the instruction manual doesn't say and Google isn't helping. Anyone know please? And if it being bent is an issue?

Is it freestanding? Does it have any kind of water or ice making function?
If the answers are yes and no, then my advice from my own no frills freestanding fridge is leave it alone, it’ll be fine.
If it’s built in or has fancy stuff though I don’t know

The answer are indeed yes and no, so that's reassuring, thank you!

I would send the photo to the manufacturer.

A freestanding fridge/freezer shouldn't need installation anyway, surely it's just a case of plugging it in?

You could also put the pic onto the reddit for appliance repair. You will need to upload it to imgur or something first, which you can do without an account.

I think it’s where all the condensation that drips down the back wall of the fridge and disappears into the drain hole goes. The heat of the back of the fridge evaporates it away.

Well exactly, but they still tried to charge me for it! It's just been a case of pulling out the condenser and adjusting the feet - and worrying about the bent tube. Then plugging it in. That's a good shout about reddit, thank you.

I think the condensation pipe is the long one that goes all the way down the back. This one seems to come from some kind of electrical component.
