Glass light fittings in kitchen

My light fittings in kitchen are clear glass (big mistake) can't get them clean. I could try a frosting spray to at least make them opaque or I could try a colour or else I have to just bin them. They are driving me mad. Any suggestions?

Why can't you clean them? Is it because you can't reach them or that they streak? Can you just use window cleaner spray? Or is that stating the obvious!

I can stand on a chair unscrew the bulb and take down the shades and clean them. They have a metal rim and
it’s a bit fragile feeling and I think it will come off easily ( one already has and I’ve managed to superglue it back on) but then they are small inside to really clean properly but even if I do they are hard to dry and then in any case the attract every scrap of dust it seems.

I just clean ours in situ with kitchen roll and glass cleaner, weekly.

This is what I am wondering because I can’t seem to get them clean at all that way and wondering if my cleaning technique is very poor. They look dreadful.

What glass spray are you using? What kitchen roll? Are yours big enough to get you fans inside even with the bulbs in? Mine aren’t so I hug eve to at least remove the bulbs.

Try elbow grease spray, I think it's amazing stuff. I'm guessing there's grease residue on them as it's the kitchen and that stuff is brilliant for degreasing without too much effort.
