How to de-bobble a jumper

The sudden change in temp has made me dig out my jumpers and I’ve realised how sorry looking some of them are. Does de-bobbling a jumper actually work? If so, any recommendations? Do those de-bobbling things work or do I just go for a pair of scissors. I’ve agreed to watch the F1 film with DS tomorrow so I’m thinking that this is a task I could
do during that!

Get a battery operated debobbler. Not only will it greatly improve your jumpers but it is strangely therapeutic.

Or perhaps I'm just a bit weird.

Thank you! I can see it being therapeutic, which is partly why I asked I think as I feel I could get over-invested in this and then be really disappointed if it didn’t work as well as I had hoped!

Bobble Off from Argos 25% off at the moment only £6 is great. do it on a flat surface for best results, I use circular movements as well as up and down. Ironing board or table works best so you can flatten the garment out.
I’ve only used it on wool products and didn’t find it that good on the one very bobbly man made one.
Amazing how much pilling it removes, tap it every now and then to stop it blocking. The front unscrews for cleaning and it comes with a little brush.
Unsure about watching tv at the same time as it does make a little whirring noise!

Another vote for the Phillips one, it's great.

Also here to say get the Phillips one! Works brilliantly, fun and satisfying to do.

It’s so good to buy something that is not only a reasonable price, but actually does the job. Good, and rare.

Ive always used a manual debobbler, makes jumpers look like new. Wouldn't recommend scissors as you risk making a hole.

I have the Philips one too and it's brilliant - the little ping it makes when it takes off a big bobble is one of life's absolute joys.

This is a good one

I have this one, love it. I use it on jumpers, jackets, socks, you name anything where fibres pill. It is a game changer and works well.
