Open plan downstairs with herringbone click flooring throughout, we have a cat and an outdoorsy ( muddy) lifestyle. I want the hoover and mop functions I think. Thanks

Don’t hate me but outdoor lifestyle it would surprise me if you’ll love any of them. I find they’re good if you’ve a clean house to keep on top of it but otherwise it needs to be gone over with a normal hoover/ brush. Just my opinion but the people I’ve spoken to with them all agreed. I’ve an iRobot (sorry originally said roomba but just checked!!)

That's interesting. I have a Roomba /Irobot and a dog and for daily vacuuming it's great and I'm always amazed/ horrified at how much it picks up each time. The Roomba is a bit dramatic as it does get stuck under the sofa but I've had it for years and it's still going strong. I would like one with a mop but can't justify the expense when this one still works.

I have carpet and karndean and works fine on both.

Just woke up from a nap and thought this was a children's name thread at first!😆

I’ve got a basic Eufy and it’s great. I’m sure they’ll be Black Friday sales very soon. No idea about mop function though.

We two eufys - mop and hoover one downstairs and a hoover one upstairs. We have all the camera/doorbell etc too, recommend the brand.
I do mop myself sometimes, maybe once a week, to really get into the crevices and it’s quicker and quieter than the Eufy doing it. But love her, she does a great job and saves me so much time.

very recently bought a basic eufy , it was just under £200 , now on sale at £122 I’ve not used the mop feature as this wasn’t something I wanted but the actual hover on wooden and carpet is great
just bought a second one for downstairs at the bargain £122

I’ve had a robovac for years and recently got a robomop. Whilst I love it, what I hadn’t thought through was that it passes over the all of the flooring once regardless of whether it is clean or dirty. It doesn’t sense that a bit of floor is still dirty and go back over it. Or that a bit of extra pressure needs to be applied.
DD dropped a juicy raspberry on the floor earlier. She picked up the raspberry but not the surrounding splodge & splatter. When I noticed it an hour or so later, I didn’t do anything as I was about to run the robomop. By the time the robomop got to it, the juice had been drying on the underfloor heating for 60 - 90 mins at a guess. 70% of it was dealt with by robomop but there’s still a bit there. If I or any other human were mopping this, we would have noticed and gone back at it, perhaps pressing a bit harder to make sure it was fully gone. Likewise I can still see the outline of a couple of muddy footprints in the porch.
BUT, if someone turned up unexpectedly, I would be happy to let them in whereas an hour or so ago it would have all looked a bit slovenly!

I've got a Eufy and it is amazing. I have hard wood floors and a tiled kitchen and it is great for keeping on top of things. It even does corners!

JDM625 · 13/11/2025 11:40

We have an eufy x10 pro. DH is techy and did alot of research on them. Our entire downstairs is tiled with a few, low rugs. This eufy has a vacuum and mop function, but it can raise itself up to get onto the rugs.

Unlike some others I've read about on MN, mine has never got stuck in a corner. It goes back to base, cleans and recharges itself. Occasionally, I need to scrub a food/mud stain that has dried and it hasn't picked up. I've never had another one to compare so not sure if that is the norm or not? The only PITA is having to move furniture, cords, etc off the floor to get a good clean. It does know to go around toys etc, but if I'm setting it off, I want as much cleaned as possible.

We also have a Eufy X10 and I think he does a great job. We have hard floors and rugs and a fluffy dog. I never mop any more as the robot hoover is excellent at that. He also goes under the sofa where I rarely did! He isn’t as powerful as my Shark hoover and he will miss bits so I do still need to go over it myself maybe once a week as well as obviously do the stairs but he does a great job at keeping on top of dog hair and general detritus. He doesn’t get stuck or lost and is self emptying and charging. He does need you to pick up stuff off the floor to get the best out of him but I think he’s been a worthwhile investment.
