Small kitchen storage and organisation ideas?

Would be really grateful for any organisers people have had success with in a small kitchen. Maybe stuff on wall? Countertop organisers? Or inside doors? Hard to tell online what is just plastic that will end up broken and what is truly useful and functional. Thanks for any suggestions.

Are you re-doing your kitchen or looking to retro-fit things into an existing kitchen?

-Look up space saving ideas for caravans/boats and other small kitchen areas
-If your floors are flat you get plinth drawers like the pic
-Get wall cupboard to the ceiling. It saves having a dust layer on the top to clean and provides additional space to store things in.

I have put one of those shower curtain poles between each side of the cupboard under the sink. It is adjustable. You twist it to get the right length if you know what I mean.

Then I hang the squirty bottles off it by the handles.

Like this but this one is not my cupboard.

It gives me an extra row of stored bottles.

My kitchen isn't too tiny, but it's smaller than average I would say (especially by MN standards!) with a woeful lack of storage and worktops space.

I have magnetic spice racks mounted on the end of one of my wall units.

Internal shelves from ikea that give an additional level of storage in cupboards

Hob covers to extend my tiny workspace when prepping.

One side of my kitchen only has breakfast bar depth worktop and nothing underneath so I've added a storage trolley on wheels which I can pull out when I need more worktop space.

I've also got a tall, slim bathroom cabinet in my understairs cupboard which acts a small larder.

Thanks all. It is retrofitting that I’m after, as although the kitchen is new, it’s already going in so it’s decided. Luckily the units at the top are going right to the ceiling - house is 30 yrs old so ceilings aren’t high. 1990s kitchen that has absolutely had it. I like the tension rods as well - I have some currently. Also have some of those undershelf things. Just want to use every little scrap of space so that we can preserve as much worktop as possible and get everything put away and just function really!

Do you have another space/room where you can have some extra storage? I ask because I used to have a very small kitchen and so stored a lot of crockery in a dresser type cupboard in an adjoining dining room.

I now have an open plan type kitchen diner room, but the kitchen part of it is not huge. So I have bought a stand alone pantry cupboard that stands in the dining part of the room.

Yes, I do have another space, but as kids have got older and also got dog, we seem to have so much stuff. Currently homeless are 4 pairs of large adult wellies. No idea where to keep these - they had been badly placed in the old kitchen!

This is a fantastic idea!

We have a smallish but new kitchen, and other storage spaces elsewhere. We have found some of the IKEA stuff for organising drawers and cupboards is good. They do a little metal stand thing that you can use to sub-divide your cupboard so you can have two layers of mugs or packets. And the drawer organisers with sticky-up pegs are also good - we use them to subdivide our plates.

We also thought very carefully while the kitchen was being fitted about what we would keep in each drawer or cupboard. So when the joiner was putting the shelves in, we got him to use the spare bits to make us extra cupboard shelves in some cases, because we're keeping flat things like chopping boards and place mats in there.

We also got a pull-out cutlery drawer in the top of our pan drawer under the stove. That one is used for all the cooking utensils, but you could use it for spices.
