Hi, does anyone have one who can recommend them please?
I'm thinking of getting one as they'll cost less in energy.

Thanks

We bought a cheap Beko one and it’s definitely cheaper to run and seems to work just as well as our old condenser one.

Bosch

PurpleFlower1983 · 12/10/2025 19:49

We have a Samsung and it’s great.

PotatoBreadForTheWin · 12/10/2025 19:55

I’m on my second one. First was a Samsung which lasted about 5 years. Now got a beko which was cheaper and is far better

Haven't had a dryer before but got one in a kitchen refurb. Went for heat pump for energy saving. It's definitely not as expensive as the old one we had. We have a Hotpoint.

FullLondonEye · 12/10/2025 20:00

It took me a little while to get used to mine because it takes longer, but it's definitely much cheaper to run.

Elizabeth110100 · 12/10/2025 20:13

I just bought one and it works brilliantly. Not sure how much I'm saving yet as I've only used it three times but it's quicker than my old condenser dryer was. It's just a cheapish Beko one.

Ours takes a LOT longer to dry, often 3 hours for towels and bedding. We have just been told that our Candy model is under a fire safety recall, so have decided to replace it with a condenser dryer

I have had my Beko one for a few years now. More expensive than a condenser but still good value. Definitely dries well. Bought it as it is cheaper to run. The cotton extra dry programme rather alarmingly says “3 hours 15 minutes”, but it never runs for that long because it adjusts itself as it dries 😆. I’m very happy with it. Beko haven’t been subject to any recalls as well afaik

umberellaonesie · 12/10/2025 20:23

I love mine, takes a long time but is much cheaper to run than my previous condenser

TheBitterBoy · 12/10/2025 20:28

I have a Samsung. It works well but the heat exchanger is very awkward (impossible) to clean properly, which affects the drying time. I'd get a different one next time, but would still get a heat pump as it is much cheaper to run.

ThatBusyPanda · 12/10/2025 20:52

Our Bosch is great

chillicheeseandchocolate · 12/10/2025 20:55

I’ve got a Siemens heat pump dryer. I’m sure it’s a bit cheaper to run but it’s takes ages and things don’t come out fully dry. I wouldn’t buy another heat pump dryer.

RossGellersCat · 12/10/2025 20:58

We're very happy with our Samsung one. Before that we had a HiSense one (wouldn't recommend as it developed lots of faults soon after purchase and HiSense customer services were an absolute nightmare). So would definitely avoid HiSense if possible.

ChipDaleRescueRangers · 12/10/2025 20:58

I have an AEG one. It has been fantastic. So cheap to run, doesnt take that much longer for a full load (about 2 hours). You need to keep them in a warmish place (ie not the garage or shed) for them wo work effectively.

I can get an 8kg load done and the cost is less than 30p per load. A condenser dryer would be at least £1.70 per load.
