Thinking of getting one in the Prime deals. There’s so many models! Be interested in anyone’s feedback.

Yeah we got a cheap one in prime deal a couple of years ago. I like it. We don’t use it that often but eg if we’re off out for the day at the weekend we’ll clear the floors and set it off before we go.

id like to invest in a better one with mapping and mop function really but dont have the money at the moment

We have the L60 vacuum and mop https://www.amazon.co.uk/eufy-Station-Detangling-Technology-Cleaning/dp/B0CLGSCLZL/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?adgrpid=150718668210&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.ETSnnW6ORonbbN9WP5zA58GBbxz1DIWlC7ybeg7vb0iB3UqzSinFU9uCI7rfM3W37a8ImN_9SJBcnderGANP43aI9FC5Fbrr83DV2w623xT90Mdj844zP6bOrgXj6B_VH8DzNZv0Gqr4jXRtoGIZS3K-2M0tr3_t2LZZS4ElxzeAh2bwKP1Z31Bie_HKWa9cX3QaqIQ1t6-cAp3tctJsMg.YPoZGxhZIqOsB_NjX9LL-E7LRWx7LYrd536zfipbRZA&dib_tag=se&gad_source=1&hvadid=772362552873&hvdev=m&hvexpln=0&hvlocphy=1006748&hvnetw=g&hvocijid=6534229218261002477--&hvqmt=e&hvrand=6534229218261002477&hvtargid=kwd-2228144888831&hydadcr=22254_2409059&keywords=eufy+l60&mcid=a2ab9ce844ed3daeb5064aa2fb705454&qid=1759647657&sr=8-2

Had it for nearly a year so far and we’ve been pretty impressed with it, does a good job at hoovering and it’s so nice not having to actually “do the hoovering”.

You still need to do the stairs and corners it can’t get into but it’s still a lot quicker.

Some of the negatives::
If it goes over a threshold from one room to another sometimes ours drops a bit of dirt out of it

Can be noisy when it’s goes back to it’s station to empty

The Eufy app can be glitchy sometimes- it’s lost our maps a few times and we’ve had to re- map upstairs and downstairs but this has only happened about twice in nearly a year.

We’ve never had a robot vacuum before so don’t have anything to compare it to but overall pretty happy with it.

We have an ecovacs and I love it. It’s so easy, and it does a really good job. Especially things like under the beds and sofas where a traditional vacuum is hard to reach.

SheherazadesSpringNonsense · 05/10/2025 08:12

Yes, she’s called Maureen and she goes off at 2am every night. She’s a basic model and getting on a bit now and quite often doesn’t find her way home so we have to track her down and return her. She’s great for staying on top of the day to day debris.

tostaky · 05/10/2025 08:15

We have had the same Roomba for 14 years! It is getting on a bit though but very pleased. Excellent performance, easy to change spare parts, helpful customer service.

TerrazzoChips · 05/10/2025 08:26

Yes! I have the x10 and I adore her. I probably vacuum and mop once a month now and she does everything else. It’s lovely coming down in the morning in bare feet and not feeling a single crumb on the floor.

word of warning though, if you have plush carpets it leaves wheel marks in them so I still use my Dyson upstairs!

DisplayPurposesOnly · 05/10/2025 08:30

I have one but I dont use it much. I'm not keen on things that have to be permanently left on charge, and it takes too long to charge to use without planning.

It is very handy for doing under the bed though! (Oak beds bedstead, very heavy and difficult to move.)

I have the g50, bought it last prime day to replace my old deebot.
it’s fairly basic in that it just bumbles round the living room & doesn’t map- but we live in a small bungalow so don’t need it too. I’ve got it on the timer (with the app) to go off twice a day when I’m walking the dog so always come back to a clean living room & kitchen. I love it for that. Needs a detangle of the main brush every couple of weeks but I’m happy to do that. I have off brand spare parts & they have always worked well. You do need to have a tidy floor otherwise it will eat the cables & it’s obligatory to stick some big googly eyes on.

Darragon · 05/10/2025 08:37

We’ve just bought a cheap robot vacuum and it’s brill. We have a 1500 square foot 4 bed flat with hard floors. The mop function on ours is largely useless unless we want it to do the utility room, the mop part dries out and gets full of dust every few minutes. But it’s nice to just set it going and let it sort the place out every day.

When we first got it, we shut it in one bedroom at a time and let it tackle under the beds. The kids have named it and see it as a pet.

One full charge thoroughly does our (10m x 3m) living room and one bedroom.

If I was spending more money, I’d look for one that returns to its charger when the battery is very low instead of turning off where it stands (I perpetually worry it will get lost under a bed), and one where the mop function had some sort of spinning movement that would pass the mop through a spray of clean water to mop better. I’d also want slightly better pathfinding sensors as ours sometimes gets lost in a random corner. Maybe a timer to set it for while we’re at work/school. Idk if the more expensive ones do any of that, btw.

I don’t think ours is sold in the UK but I’d imagine it’s similar to the cheapest UK ones.

Ours is a eufy X10 pro omni which we've had 18mths. DH did alot of research before getting it. It mops and vacuums and raises itself up onto rugs. I've never had a robovac before so can't compare it to anything. Its never got stuck in a corner.

The only PITA, and this would be from any robovac, is prepping the room beforehand. We lift up cords, remove dog bed and toys etc. We could just leave them down, but it cleans better when its clear. We also have a corded henry, but I'm researching getting a lighter, stick vac.

Ours has an app and you can track it going around the room. It goes back to base to charge and clean etc. We had loose cords hanging under the sofa once and it did get stuck on those and couldn't move. We could locate it on the map though. The mop function has spinners which seem to clear very well. Our entire downstairs is tiled with the odd rug.

MamaRoly · 05/10/2025 09:13

I have an L60 purchased when on special offer about a year ago, and I really like it. I have it programmed to hoover once a day and it does the downstairs of our house in 45 mins. It is controlled by an app, so I can set it off ad hoc as well, or send it home if we have guests or I am WFH and on a call (it is quite noisy). It helps me feel I am keeping the carpets semi respectable what with us, two tweens and cats. But never had one before so wasn't sure what to purchase either although decided against the mop function as they felt a faff.
Downside it does get stuck on charging cables, shoe laces etc so I try to do a visual sweep each morning, otherwise it just sends me a text to say it is stuck! It sucks up cat toys, pens, hair bobbles so emptying the dustbin is interesting! And the cats periodically attack it for fun! It occasionally gets brain fog (like me!) and forgets it's way home, or gets stuck so occasionally we have to go searching for it. But overall really pleased with it and yes a name and googly eyes 👀 are a must!

ThatGreenFawn · 05/10/2025 09:28

Yes and he's amazing. We have the one that cleans and dries its own mop (cant remember what its called) and its great. We bought on Amazon prime day so had some money off, but was still expensive, but worth every penny. Our downstairs is hoovered and mopped every day before we get up in the morning (its very quiet).
We had a different make before which we had for years and was a bit nervous about swapping to a cheaper brand, but wish we had done it years ago.

ThePure · 05/10/2025 09:28

We have the X10. He’s called Eugene (I figured why assume a cleaning robot is female) and he does a pretty good job as long as you give him some maintenance TLC.

He does not get stuck and he goes back to base to charge, empty his dust bag and wash his mops. He can cope with getting stuck in edges and rugs (he just goes back and has a run up!) You do have to pick up obstacles for him to be able to do a decent job and the suction is nowhere near as good as a freestanding vacuum cleaner and he does miss bits however he keeps on top of all the dog fur she’s by our fluffy mutt to a respectable degree and I only do a ‘top up’ hoover of sofa, stairs, skirting boards etc once a week or so. Plus I never mop floors at all now unless I spill something as he does a great job at that.

Its definitely been worth having him

Waitingfordoggo · 05/10/2025 11:18

I have a Eufy X8 Pro SES and I LOVE it. I use it around 4-5 times a week downstairs, and probably twice a week upstairs. I manually hoover once a week (because Eufy doesn’t get everything and can’t do the stairs). We have a dog and two teens so frequent hoovering keeps the place looking neater. It has the mop function too but I haven’t tried it yet!

londongirl12 · 05/10/2025 16:04

Thanks everyone! Will definitely get one. My DS7 is just a crumb leaving monster everywhere! And there’s always random sticky patches, the joy of boys 😂. I WFH all day so he can hoover and mop the floor whilst I’m upstairs working. Just one less thing to have to worry about!

pontipinemum · 07/10/2025 10:11

I've had 2 cheap ones from Amazon. I was pretty happy with with, they both did a good job at hoovering. But both died within 18 months. I bought a 'DREAME L10S ULTRA GEN2 VACUUM ' in August. It is unreal!

I genuinely never have to mop any more. The only thing I need to do is sometimes put multipurpose cleaner on a stain before setting him (Bobby) off. I have a 1yr old and 3yr old. Weetabix etc stick

Shamesame · 07/10/2025 10:14

Yes we did when the baby started crawling because we have cats and I couldn’t be arsed with vacuuming and mopping all the time.

He is now an essential member of the family. I think we have the 10 - he mops and vacuums. Sometimes he’s a bit thick and we find him stuck under the sofa caught on a cat toy but mainly he’s reliable.

the only thing is that he’s really loud (particularly when evacuating his dust) so I’d never run it at night and his docking station is way bigger than I thought it would be.
