How to clean inside conservatory roof

We have lived in our house for almost 4 years and never cleaned our conservatory roof on the inside or outside Last night I had a go with one of the panes and an antibacterial wipe just to see how dirty it was and it was completely black! I feel absolutely disgusted that I haven’t dealt with this before-any tips on the best way to clean are welcome! Also looking at whether we can get a professional to clean inside and out….!

Mine can get damp in the winter, so I get a tile cleaner on a telescopic pole (the type with the flat bit), and a clean cloth/rag and dry it regularly.

Every now and then, I also make a solution of cleaner /bleachy water, and clean it down, and dry. I wear a shower cap to protect my hair from the drips! I need stepladder for the high bits and I also make sure if clean the white struts. Sometime you see fly dirt on them.

That was for the inside. For the outside, I go up a ladder with a pressure attachment on the hose. Rarely, I lean out of the upstairs overlooking window with good old rag-on-a-stick.

Just get up a ladder with a bucket of hot soapy water, a cloth and a squeegee. Water will get everywhere so move/cover up anything underneath.

For outside:
My regular window cleaner does my conservatory outside every six weeks along with my house windows. £15! Bargain.

Alternatively, a step ladder and hose pipe will work. Use a soft bristle brush to pull off dead matter and bird poo. Look at caravan cleaning brushes. They have long poles to reach and the bristles are soft.

For inside:
Look at the Flash (or similar) mop products. If you can manipulate the mop over your head and rub it over the panes, try that.

I have a silicon brush, “rubbery” bristles that I’ve used with a wet cloth over it too.

It takes a bit of manipulating and a crick in the neck but it worked ok. Do it on a dull day, not too hot or sunny otherwise you’ll be left with smeary panes.

It’s really bloody hard work! Ours is Victorian style roof and a right pita! I wrap floor wipes over my vileda mop and just do the inside frames, I would be there a month doing the glass, so that’s not happening. Tbh we are going to have redesigned and rebuilt next spring so I’m not that bothered about cleaning it this winter.
