Best synthetic duvet

I have posted about duvets before but still haven’t made up my mind about which type to buy. I could really do with some more advice, please!

For years we have had feather duvets (feather & down or down & feather). However, I am becoming increasingly fed up with how the filling tends to clump in the sides and corners and won’t distribute evenly, no matter how much I shake it! So, would a synthetic duvet work better? If so, which would you recommend?

I am looking particularly at M&S duvets because I can get a discount, but am also prepared to look elsewhere for a good one. We prefer a king size, all seasons duvet.

TIA

I wouldn’t touch synthetic with a barge pole

just get a really good feather or down duvet that doesn’t pack up. Can’t say I have ever found that. John Lewis is great

The best duvet I’ve ever had is wool, we got ours from Devon Duvets and bought the thinner version which works for us year round. It’s very light and much easier to put in the cover and doesn’t clump at all.

You can sort out that issue with shoving it in the dryer with some tennis balls. Failing that I’d go for a wool duvet. Synthetic duvets just aren’t very nice.

Wool duvet all the way, the ones from Piglet in Bed are amazing and worth the cost. I love mine and have two different thickness ones for different times of year. I even travel with a single one when I go away 😁

I would really recommend this duvet from the White Company: https://www.thewhitecompany.com/uk/Deluxe-Down-Alternative-Duvet--Warm/p/deluxe-down-alternative-duvet-warm?swatch=No%20Colour
Our previous woollen duvet from Soak & Sleep lasted a good few years but turned lumpy after I carefully hand-washed it and was never quite the same. This duvet is soft and light, warm and toasty. It feels like a down duvet but is hypoallergenic and - important to me - cruelty-free.

I have a woolroom one and love it
