My SIL just bought a Classic for £179 and I have been thinking about getting the Artisan for ages, which are about £329

Anyone know what the differences between the two are??

Yes, she did. They are reduced at the moment.

Artisan is bigger and has some different extras (a pouring shield, which is pointless imo and maybe some others but I forget). The bigger bowl is good though. I think I love my KitchenAid more than I love my dh

I was wondering about Kitchen Aids yesterday. Are they just food mixers?

No - they're food mixers in pretty colours
I love mine too. It makes fab mashed potato and bread.

NotABanana · 31/05/2008 09:00

I want one!

Tinkjon · 31/05/2008 09:00

No, they are not just food mixers. They are beautiful works of art which will make your kitchen look beautiful and make you feel like Nigella Lawson each time you switch it on. When you use it, if you look carefully, you will see a shaft of heavenly light shining on it and hear angelic voices singing its praises.

Though yes, technically they are just food mixers

Tinkjon · 31/05/2008 09:01

Notabanana, LOL!

You know you're in trouble when you already have one but are thinking about getting another colour

pandapanda · 31/05/2008 09:05

Have you considered a kenwood chef? Not as pretty but 1400w motor as opposed to 325w

3725Hayley · 01/06/2008 11:42

No can't even consider the Kenwood, as have fallen completely in love with the Kitchenaid .

Mean DH just thinks it will have to wait, as have boring other things to pay for

I have the classic I don't know about the other one but that is a erally good price adn it is brilliant can't reccommend it highly enough.

I know £179 is a total bargain, just can't convince hubby that it is though! He showed me a £40 one on the argos site and said get that one

I too love my kitchenaid more than anyone! It is bright red and looks so gorgeous! Aside from its good looks, it is a fab mixer

3725Hayley · 01/06/2008 12:15

The red one is lovely... always reminds me of Nigella as she has that colour.

I was given one of those red Nigella Kitchenaids (birth gift for DS2 from DH ) but have been in such a tizzy with lots on, don't know where to start with having a go with it, making things. what is a good way to start, those of you who have it?
