Daily care to keep new shower room looking new!

We have hard water. We do have a water softener, but we still get some limescale on the shower screen and in the WC.

What products and methods would you recommend to stay on top of it?

People have suggested Viacal, but do you spray it on and blade it off? Leave it on? And what should we do with the WC bowl to keep it limescale free?

Any suggestions welcome!

Limescale is a nightmare for us too! I use Vykal- spray on leave for at least 10 mins and then scrub over with a scourer and rinse off for when it's bad.

We are the same - hard water, new bathroom with walk in shower last year.

Every time someone has used the shower, we squeegy down the walls and screen, and wipe over all the chrome bits and the sills of the tray with a microfiber cloth, I also wipe over the walls and the screen with the cloth if I have time.

I prefer Flash bathroom to Viakal for regular use, as I find Viakal leaves streaks on the shower panel walls even if I wipe it straight away (prob wouldn’t be a problem with tiles), but Viakal is great if you get a stubborn bit of build up. For the Flash, I spray on and wipe with a damp cloth, scrubbing a bit if necessary, then rinse with the shower head, squeegy the water off, dry with a microfiber cloth.

This has kept it new-looking for a year, which given how grotty our previous bathroom got with limescale/mould, I’m quite proud of!

For the toilet, I use Harpic limescale remover gel, squirt it round and leave it.

I would avoid Viakal at all costs or watch it closely. In a previous property it bubbled up our taps and ruined them.
