It's all in the title. We've just bought a house with a big open plan tiled with black shiny tiles. It's gorgeous but it's a nightmare to clean and to keep clean. Mopping just leaves great big water marks and a dull film. How do you do it ? I'm even considering investing in a water pressure cleaner. I'd still have to hoover every day but at least i'd hoover a really clean floor. Thanks.

We have black marble quartz tiles in the bathroom, they are gorgeous but a total pain. We have to mop them and then buff them with kitchen towel.

I suppose it depends on how vast an area your floor actually covers. We found all products made them look really streaky.

would love to know of a better way also... i'm on my knees at least twice a day with kitchen floor wipes... i know they're evil

there is some magic clear stuff

that's the one but will only work if they are ceramic, don't think it's meant for real stone.

if they were wall not floor tiles then Windex or similar is excellent, but I suspect it'd make a floor slippery.

this stuff is fantastic, it smells like ammonia, but odourless when dry, will put a shine on lasts lasts ages.

When mopping make sure the mop is wrung out rearly well, as in just a little more than damp, you wont get water marks then..

Oh, lol, sorry mrsbadger, did'nt realise you had linked to it too, I did'nt read the replies only the op

Good stuff though aint it?

Thanks mrsB. Am not in the UK but will have a look around anyway, or might be able to buy it online.
You've used it yourself ?
Pinkjenny, I've got an area the size of a tennis ground to keep clean...

if you can't find the Klear, using a long-handled squeegee (rubber blade thing like a car scraper) after mopping gets the floor really dry so lessens smearing.

I used the Klear stuff on the knackered quarry tiles in the porch and conservatory when we dressed our house for sale - made a huge difference.
