How can we remove them, without dry cleaning?

Suit is decent quality, Charles Tyrwhitt.

TIA

New suit, as in he's never worn it? Send it back.

New suit as he's worn it for one event? Read the washing labels. Many suits are machine washable these days. Yours may be. Otherwise, why are you so against dry cleaning?

Hi,
It’s a new suit, DS wore it once and we’d rather not dry clean it because of the cost element. He works very hard in hospitality but earns peanuts.

Thanks very much for the link. I’ll help DS to try sponge clean it.

For stains always use cold water not hot. You could try sponging it with cold water and Savon de Marseille. I use it on holiday for t shirts and dresses I want to rewear.

I have my eye on this clay but haven’t tried it.

If it’s got sweat marks like that, it’s going to smell. Sponge cleaning might get the marks off but it’s still going to honk, especially if it gets warm by being worn again.

I’d really, really find the budget for cleaning it.

I’d try carefully dampening just the dried sweat area in a bowl of hot water and rub bar soap on it, rinse carefully and dry. Try the lining first.
