Any gadgets/products worth buying for deep cleaning?

We've looked into getting a cleaning company in to do a deep clean of our house, but the quotes we have received were eye watering, and significantly above what we had considered. So, I'm thinking we will tackle the job ourselves, but considering I had mentally allocated some cash towards this I was thinking maybe we could make our lives easier by buying one of those spinny scrubbers, or a hand held steamer, or a window cleaning gadget, or something. But I have no idea what would actually be useful vs pointless crap that will gather dust in a cupboard. So I thought I'd put the question to MN - is there anything that has genuinely proved very useful for cleaning? Or is elbow grease really the best way through?

(Fwiw our house is pretty "surface " clean, but I know we've got eg limescale build up on bathroom tiles, dusty light fittings, grubby paintwork, that kind of thing. We already have a steam mop and a robot vacuum, but I think that's it. Otherwise we're just microfiber cloths and sprays I think).

If you have carpets, then a carpet cleaner is a good investment, I have a Bissell one which does a good job, but is a finickity to set up as you have to place the water tank in exactly the right place. I do have a steam mop with all the attachments to turn it into a handheld steamer. The only thing I really use it for is cleaning the grout in the bathroom as it's the only thing which seems to shift the limescale build up. The extendable static fluffy dusters are great for doing the tops of ceilings and getting rid of cobwebs. If you have white walls and paintwork, magic erasers can be good for getting rid of grubby marks, they do remove a small amount of paint, so less good for coloured paint.

I've bought a number of different window cleaning gadgets over the years, I really don't recommend the magnetic ones as they just fall apart. The telescopic brushes that you attach to a hosepipe do an ok job on outside windows and I plan to use it to clean the caravan. If you have paving in the garden, then a pressure washer is useful and really gets rid of the dirt.

I would also say window vac and carpet cleaner, if you have carpets. Also consider hiring a rug doctor, they are a step up.

We use our carpet cleaner on upholstery too - it's not the same as steam cleaning it, it sprays out detergent/water then sucks it back up. But if you don't have carpets you can get a smaller handheld machines for this instead. And obviously if you have leather sofas you can just wipe them.

New flat microfibre mop heads, and use them to clean walls and tiles.
