Washing Machine Recommendations

Does anyone have recommendations for a washing machine/brand? I don't want one that is wifi connected etc, but happy to pay a bit more for a 'good one'. I've been disappointed with Bosch in the past, but maybe a Miele?

I had an LG Turbowash..great machine, pretty accurate timings...I've just replaced it with a Hoover as needed a bigger drum..it washes well but the timings are so inaccurate it drives me mad.

Beko all day every day for me. Had our one 10 years worked like a charm. Moved house and bought a new Candy machine, failed within 10 months, over a month to attempt fixing it (ie waiting for parts) but eventually got a refund. Back to Beko now and life is good (and minus laundrette visits!) again!

I absolutely love my Miele. No Wi-Fi nonsense. It has a quick, 20 minute wash for small loads, a 1 hour power wash for a full load in a hurry and eco wash when I am not in a hurry. It’s quiet and it has a delay timer so I can set it to finish as I get up without waking anyone up in the night.

Bosch for me. I had 15 years or more out of my last one. My current one is at least 10 years old and still going strong.

Bosch or Samsung.

Miele. Like a PP, I also love the 20 min quick wash. No gimmicks (WiFi etc), just a good solidly built workhorse. They are expensive, but go for a bottom of the range - same build quality, fewer things to go wrong (though mine has been v reliable) and people only tend to use the same few programmes anyway.

We bought one 2 years ago - within a year it had to have its motor replaced, and then after another year it just broke (issues with the drum), so that we have to scrap it. Their customer service is also abysmal!

Ughhh… Sorry to hear that - that’s so rubbish.

I’ll pray we have better luck!

I have the 'entry level' Miele so none of the WiFi nonsense. It replaced a Miele which was the then entry level model 18 years ago (it came with a 10 year warranty and when it died the engineer said it had done the average number of loads for 23 years!) The eco wash is very long but it's to do with European legislation.
