It's the very small one with the handle for aprpox age 18 months upwards. The elastic at the sides has started fraying so it really isn't safe any more. I'm assuming the dustmen won't take it (they wont take cardboard unless it's collapsed and folded to about a 5 inch square!), it's too large for the back of the car so I can't take it to the dump.

Any ideas what I can do with it?

TIA

stick it on freecycle and say it needs new elastic.

thanks for both ideas. Freecycle doesn't seem to be working very well at the moment - I can't get very far with it anyway.
I'll try again tomorrow and if still no joy I'll take it apart - or rather try. It's very rusty!

LOL at Littlelapin!

Ring up your local council, ours will collect large items like fridges, cookers (and maybe trampolines) free of charge, but woe betide anyone who puts the wrong type of shampoo bottle in the plastic recycling tub!.

thanks very much for the tip Serin! I called the council and they are going to call me back to get a full description and details of size etc and will arrange a collection date! Sorted. I did go to put it on Freecycle Misdee but I was very concerned about someone not bothering to mend it (and to be honest I'm not sure how you can mend it, it's fraying all the way round) and then a child getting injured. So best it goes to be dumped I think in this case.
