Dealing with abit of situation, our outside kitchen drain has become blocked and we've tried to scoop it out but no luck.

I read a post hear suggesting to use soda crystals, I've just bought a bag from B&Q but cant find that post and have no clue what to do with them! Anyone used these before? What else can I try, a plunger perhaps? Would it need to be a particular size?

Pls help...ta!

Is it bicarbonate of soda? You can use vinegar and it creates a fizzy solution that can help, it's not very good to be honest, I tend to use this to help clear out dishwasher / washing machine by putting then through a cycle every month or so
Are your toilets backing up too, they may need rods to clear properly

Whatever you do don't pour them straight down, they can solidify and become a lump.

Carefully mix them with boiling water (beware splashes) and then you can pour the solution down.

This. You can do it a second time if it's doesn't do the trick.

The diameter is too great for a chemical unblocker, you will need a plunger. I have drain/chimney rods and a large size plunger to attach to one - shouldn't cost much more than about £50 to set yourself up. It compares very well with getting a drain company out and then you can sort anytime.

If you have put any chemicals down then wear gloves and goggles in case of splashing
