Puke on duck feather and down duvet

My 5 year old has just puked ok their duvet, which is duck feather and down.

It is machine washable, but I obviously can’t use anything harsh on it like bleach so I’m wondering if I should just bin it and replace.

It was £45 as a single

I would try a wash first.

It should be okay to wash, maybe use something gentle designed for Babies though (Is Fairy Non Bio still a thing?).

To fluff it up again, you'll need to tumble dry it on low.

Def wash it
then tumble dry with a tennis ball in with it to fluff it up

We had this a few weeks ago. I gave it a good wash with fairy non bio and some dettol sanitizer then into the tumble dryer. It wasn't fully dry after tumble dryer so hung it on the stairs for a bit and now it's perfect

scrub the sick off and then wash in the washer on the duvet wash and then tumble dry.

Thanks. Do you think something non bio like Fairy is a necessity? I only have arial platinum pods in which are bio.

I'd do a bio wash personally! Get those enzymes working on the puke!

Thanks all.

After some reading online I ended up washing it with persil non bio & white vinegar, then tumble dried it.

Seems good as new!
