Using a washing bag for delicates

Hello,
I've started using a wash bag for washing my white tees. I do this because all the tees I buy - good quality ones - develop small little holes near the waist line. I had the washing machine inspected and told that it was not the cause, but that maybe having the spin cycle at highest setting causes the fabric to stretch and tear.
I'm putting about 5-6 tees in the bag, but when the cycle is finished, the bag has opened by itself and the tees are with the rest of the washing. Is the bag overfull or does it need to be set at a lower speed ?
This is the bag,.laundry bag for delicates

Thanks Nick

What a conundrum 😂

I have a similar bag and it never opens. I use it in a fast speed but with much less in so perhaps it is too full.

These bags should have a little elastic thingy that the zip end goes under, so that it doesn't open in the wash.

I think previous threads on holes at the wrist have established it's from leaning/ brushing against kitchen counters and the friction between the counter/ T-shirt/ trouser button which makes sense to me.
I have laundry bags with zips so the washing stays put- could you tie a knot in the top of the bag if it is coming open?

Waist not wrist!

Make sure the zip pull thing is tucked under the elastic strap to stop it opening

Thank you, I will check that I'm doing that when next put a load on. Nick

I think given the design of the bag it would be difficult to do that - https://www.bunnings.com.au/premium-laundry-wash-bag-sab60018_p0471944.

Regarding the holes in the tees, I think it is a combination of poor quality materials which are used these days (I can't remember it happening when I was younger), high revolution settings in the machine, and possibly rubbing up against the kitchen counter. Although, I do wear an apron when cooking so this provides a layer of protection between the tee and bench top. It also happens when I don't wear jeans/trousers for months, for example, in the summer. It is a mystery. I have sort of resigned to it happening, but annoying when the tee is only a month old and spot little pin prick holes.

Thanks, this is what I had not done. It doesn't open now.
Thanks Nick😀

Holes aren't caused by the washing machine. Rubbing against counters.
