Keep your luxury towels!

As in, I have no time for them. Yes they look the part, but my favouritest (I know it's not a word) towel of all times is my C&A (yes, from 30 yrs ago) bath sheet which is so thin, it packs to a size of a hand towel so it goes on holidays with me too. It dries me in a minute, I can use it to turban my hair because it's so light, and when I tie it around my armpits, it actually stays in place.

It's starting to wear now, and I'm heartbroken. I don't have another like it and I've tried in the last 30 yrs to buy a similar quality one, to no avail. I've bought thin ones from cheap
Shops and washed them in vinegar and all sorts to get the waxy residue off them - nope.

I've bought Marks and John Lewis, nope.

Now where can sell me my trusty C&A red polka dot crispy thin but perfectly drying towel.

I don't use fabric softener, before anyone mentions it.

It's my rant for today. I just want a decent towel. Thin as a cracker, but an amazing towel. You can stuff your thick and luxury.

The End.

Totally agree with you

Cant stand these massive thick heavy things that we get at airbnbs, all covered in bloody conditioner

I buy thin cotton peshtemal towels.

I was going to recommend peshtemal / hammam towels too. I absolutely love ours and I think they look really nice too.

I'll have a look at those @soupyspoon - baffled why folk love soft and fluffy!'

I'll have to try those@IdyllicLandscape ah see I've bought hammam towels too and while they tick the box on thin, I don't find they have the same gruff drying power.

Don't get me started on sports towels from the likes of Dcathlon.

I have a 39 year old mint and white striped towel that is the same. DH loves it and uses it as his gym towel.

I've got a big but thin Turkish towel that is my absolute favourite.
My MIL bought us some new luxury towels after she caught a conversation about it. They've never been used.

Easier to store, quicker to dry, effective drying bodies.

What's not to love?!

IKEA. Bath sheet size, thin but good quality cotton. Pack small because they're thin, but dry quickly (dry both body and the towels dry fast on the line). I love them, they also have a useful hanging loop. That said mine must be at least 10 years and so they might not manufacture them anymore.
