Robot vacuum cleaners

Hi all,

Does anyone have a robot vacuum cleaner they couldn't be without? If so, which one do you have?

I really want one but have heard such mixed reviews and there are so many on the market.

Thanks!

We have a eufy and I wouldn't be without him. We're on all 1 level, but when we eventually upgrade to a house, I'll want an upstairs one too. He's not great at the every edges (I have 2 young kids so the mess and crumbs is ridiculous) so I use a mini handheld too for that from time to time, and skirtings.

He is so good that I have this weekend given away my normal upright hoover. Decluttering and want the space back, it's not been used in a year. I say this as someone who has 2 different carpet shampooer machines (upright and spot cleaner), so you know I'm serious about cleaning 😅

Thanks so much. I have a handheld Shark already that I often use on the stairs. We are on 3 floors but the plan would be a floor per day on rotation I think. Thanks so much for your input!

Can I ask which eufy you have? Looks like they vary is price from £200-£900!

I have 2 eufy vacs. The first one is very basic, just bounces around from wall to wall until it's battery dies.

The second one is so much better, it's a L60 ses. It maps the room, I can set no go areas and just select one area or the whole lot. When on the charger it cuts hair from the rollers and empties itself into a large bin.

TheFlis · 12/01/2025 10:43

We have a Beko one that is only about £250 (often closer to £200 on offer) as it came very highly recommended by Good Housekeeping and Which.

it’s honestly the best thing I bought last year, I wouldn’t be without it now. We have a dog so need to vacuum often but our dog hates a normal vacuum and barks his head off at it, so it was a bit of a nightmare. The Beko is so quiet though that the dog ignores it and it just bumbles around cleaning whenever we need. It also has a mop function so can clean the floors as well.

The only slight downside is you have to empty it after it’s done a run, It only takes a few seconds but if I was buying now I would probably buy a self emptying one.

So useful, thanks all!

I have a roomba which I’ve had for several years now it picks up a lot and my dog tolerates it which is more than can be said for my regular vacuum

Behindthethymes · 12/01/2025 11:25

It’s very much a case of you get what you pay for. My mil has a super efficient roomba that takes half the wool out of her carpet. I went cheap and got a Black Friday deal a couple of years ago on a eufy hoover and mop. The dc put it on “english butler” setting. It’s like having a useless old servant that you couldn’t possibly get rid of, who occasionally deigns to do a bit of cleaning with a lot of huffing and puffing, but is clearly helping himself to the brandy, judging by the tipsy stagger home, mid clean, for yet another nap.

There’s no mapping, absolutely no predicting which way it will go next (not quite true - it seems determined to avoid visible dirt) and the mopping is about as effective as walking round with a bit of wet toilet tissue stuck to your shoe.

Be warned though that you will get ridiculously attached to them.

We have one of these

Bippityboppitybooo · 12/01/2025 13:05

I have a eufy 15c @GRCP, he is a basic version with no mapping, but give him an hour in a large room or 3 normal rooms and he's golden. I keep him set to max power at all times. I'd have him on a schedule to get more done, but kids and a husband who sounds like @Behindthethymes robot hoover means I can't trust the floor to be clear.... He does do that confused limp home though which is entertaining 🤣

sevensheds · 12/01/2025 13:19

i have a eufy - pretty basic one - but we love him. put him round upstairs and down every day to keep on top and just use a hand brush in the stairs. i have a cleaner once a fortnight and she does the nooks and crannies.
it amazes me how much our little robot picks up each day.
i have a Henry but he only comes out for the big jobs (like today when i spilt cat litter on the floor)

WompWompBoom · 12/01/2025 13:23

Same as @Bippityboppitybooo, a basic eufy15c. I got him after my 11c died after a fall from a patio door!

I love him. He bumbles around on full power for about 40-50 mins. Always fills his bucket and once he's charged I chuck him upstairs to do under the beds up there too. He was only £150 but does a great job here and I've got a very sheddy orange cat too.

MainStreetOrHighStreet · 12/01/2025 13:27

I have a Eufy x8 and when he dies I’ll get a more powerful, self emptying one. Roborock seem to get great reviews but they only seem available to buy on eBay which I’m not sure about.

CornishPorsche · 12/01/2025 13:29

Eufy here too. We have two, one upstairs who has just dropped dead after 5yrs and one down. The new one arrives tomorrow! It's a L60 and £152 from the Amazon open box section.

The old one's side brush motors have given up. We could replace them but tbh it's had it so he's being retired.

Absolutely love these things, wouldn't be without any more.

TianasBayou · 12/01/2025 13:49

A basic eufy, it's 3 years old now and not that efficient - I run it on the MAX setting. Cheap though and does the job.

My favourite thing is that it goes under beds, which a normal hoover wouldn't.

incognito50me · 12/01/2025 14:45

I have a eufy x10 pro omni. It vacuums and mops (we have all hardwood floors, one level). I am very happy! We have him on a schedule and the only thing that ever needs doing is corners, but that's easy.

I clean the filter once a week and add clean water in the base station and empty dirty water. It is one less thing that I have to think about - my apartment is never dirty, and eufy cleans under my daughter's bed really well, there are never dust bunnies around.

StrawberryHoney · 12/01/2025 14:50

Evovacs Deebot that mops too. I love it.

This is hilarious and I can just imagine i would find myself employing such a butler whichever model i choose

SedentaryCat · 21/11/2025 13:12

We have a basic Eufy - was about £100 on an Amazon prime day deal. It is like having an eager toddler in the house, one that will go where you don't want them to and avoid where there is an actual task to be done. It particularly dislikes the kitchen and avoids at all costs. The conservatory, on the other hand, is probably the cleanest room in the house 🙄

Wouldn't be without it though because when it finally decides to do something it makes the room look much tidier.

Ours is called Brian. No idea why.

Aposterhasnoname · 21/11/2025 13:47

Eufy L60 here. I absolutely love him. I had a basic lefant before, that just ricocheted randomly around and I loved that, but the eufy is next level. He goes out downstairs on a timer every morning, then when I get home from work hes fully charged so I take him upstairs. He has maps, so you can send him out to do a particular room or area too, and he connects to Alexa so I have the endless joy of telling Alexa that this place is a s**t tip, and watching dusty come shuffling out while Alexa berates him for not cleaning under the table.

KitsyWitsy · 21/11/2025 14:14

I have a roborock. Cant remember the exact model but it has mop and vac. It was about 1k. I am pretty happy with it. All we have to do is put more water in and empty the dirty water tank.
