Which washing machine?

I currently have a Bosch Home Professional 9kg which, whilst I love it is on its last legs. The automatic dose sensor is broken and the filter is jammed and I can't get it out to clean it so it's not clearing water properly. According to Dr. Google, it will have to be taken apart completely to unblock and therefore probably not worth getting fixed.

Which machine do you have and would you recommend it? Is the filter easy to empty or does it have this issue where if e.g. a hair clip gets in, then you can't get the filter out? It sounds like it's a small stone stuck in mine. It's apparently a known issue with my type of Bosch machine.

We do a lot of washing (4 inc. 2 teens, one does a lot of sport, DH and other about 4 times a week) so needs to be hard working (and last 18 months)! Bit reluctant to go for the same again, but not sure what's reliable these days.

I had a Miele for over twenty years and replaced with another. It has a Twindos (auto dispenses liquid detergent etc) system which I wasn't fussed about, but I really like now.

Anyway, new machine failed just before two year warranty ran out. Miele replaced it which was great, but I think the Twindos failure is a known fault. Once I've finished the six months free supply of detergent, I may go back to powder.

If this one lasts ... and they assured me that it would not have the same fault ... I'm happy with it.

EBAC, British made with a seven year parts and labour warranty. I've had mine for a year now and am very happy with it. If itconly lasts seven years, it will still be cheaper than an alternate machine and an ongoing policy with domestic and general or similar.

I've just brought a beko 9kg load washing machine..... it's fantastic,!!!! Has variable spin speed so washing is nearly dry when it finishes. Very very happy with it. Family of 3 (two teenagers) . My son volunteer at a railway and managed to clean his very grubby overalls...

I'm impressed 🤣🤣

After starting off with the cheapest brands I could afford (White Knight anyone?) have gone through Bosch and now ended up with Miele washer and Miele dryer. Very expensive. But very good. Incredibly quiet. Phone alerts when it is all done. A real variety of settings.
Apparently Steve Jobs imported Miele kit from the UK as US machines are massive, use a lot more power and a lot more water AND damage the clothes more over time.

We’ve got an LG, We always had Bosch, apart from a short while where we had a Hotpoint (don’t do that), but the control panel blew on our last one and we couldn’t get a spare because of a shortage of chips just after Covid. We were also limited in what machine we could buy but we’re very happy with the LG tbf.

Siemens - 9 kg load, 1400 spin. It’s 7/ 8 years old, and still going strong 🤞. On every day , deals with Labradors hair etc.
When it dies I will probably buy another Siemens

Beko- which replaced a previous beko. After running through all the ‘premium’ brands I had to go for cheap option and realised it worked just as well and lasted just as long
